Morgan wasn’t even close to the drinking age and considering her father’s history with substance abuse she usually tried to steer clear of alcohol. She slung her arms around his waist and hugged his side. She could play nice, it was his birthday after all.  “ I’d need a step stool to be taller than you,” she said grinning up at him. “ So you’re a whole year older, whatever will you do with such infinite wisdom from all your years  ?”

“A stool or two, kiddo.“ and the young man chuckles at her action, an arm adjusting around her shoulders as she comes and hugs him, his hand giving her shoulder a little gentle shake. “Hmmmm, I don’t know, get legally wasted with Barton. But dad doesn’t get to know.” Even if, technically, he isn’t an adult in most states and his body rejected alcohol. “Nah. I think I’m just going to reflect on how old I am and contemplate my future and all that nonsense.”
