Nick finished off his second glass of whiskey and motioned for the waiter to bring him another as he waiting for his companion. She wasn’t late. Nick had simply gotten here far too early, but that was another matter entirely—he’s mostly gotten the blood of his tie, not that you could tell with it tucked into his jacket. What could he say? Retirement was treating him well.

Just was the waiter set down a new glass whiskey on the rocks, he saw the redhead walking towards their table. 

“Is this really just a dinner date?”
