Pandemic
So far in our current year, 2020, things aren’t going well. Since the early weeks of January, some serious serious things have happened that everyone thought could’ve end very bad. The killing of General Soleimani by the United States of America, Iran shot down Ukrainian plane, Australian bushfires, and Tall volcano eruption in the Philippines, those are just some of the serious matters that happened on the early months of the year 2020. But what frightened the world more than anything is the Novel Corona Virus that came from China and have managed to cross around the globe and now have caused a pandemic.
The situation in the Philippines is surprisingly better than what I’ve expected. At first, most people thought that Philippines could end up like Wuhan, where the virus started. But, I personally think that the national government of the Philippines is doing just fine as days goes by. Still, the are some flaws that I think should be addressed by some local governments in order to swiftly execute the agenda of the Philippines as a whole, which is to beat the virus as early as possible.
I think that strict implementation of rules to everybody is the best way to speed up all the process and shorten the time allotted for the enhanced community quarantine. Also, proper distribution of the local government’s help to the community will have a big impact on making the current situation better.
At this kind of scenario, I think that it is not the time to politicize every single thing of what the government has done for the people. Giving people goods on a plastic bag with an imprinted names of the politicians is not a necessary thing to do at this time. It delays the process of giving the people their needs to live. Also, I believe doing this kind of act only shows hunger for power, not giving empathy for their own people.
I hope that the government and the people of the state would work together to win the battle against the virus. Stay safe everyone, and may God be with us always.
