Hi everyone, I did this illustration for the single VIEW for the shinee fanbook celebrating their 10th anniversary. I was invited to participate back in the middle of 2017, I worked on this with all my love as all of the other participants, then when Jonghyun passed away the project was on stand by for a while. In the end it was decided that we would continue and publish the fanbook, now only in a digital format. Anyways, the zine has been available and will be for a while at https://tictail.com/shineefanzine/pdf 

All the proceeds go to DDing Dong LGBT Youth Crisis Support Center in memory of Jonghyun. I hope this fanbook and illustration can bring still a little bit of joy to fans and some help to people who need it. I want to thank @shineefanzine for doing this.

I’d like to add that we have created a digital PDF fanzine, a collection of illustrations by various Shawol artists for their 10th anniversary. (Plus some pieces espeically for Jjong). We are selling our zine through Tictail, and all of the proceeds we receive will be donated to DDing Dong as well! :-)

Our artists worked very hard on making the fanzine happen, so if you would also like to receive beautiful artworks by Shawols inspired by SHINee’s discography, consider buying our fanzine as well! It’s basically a full donation to Dding Dong too, as we will be donating all of the proceeds at once when we close orders.

as many are aware: back in december over a hundred wonderful fans from all around the world donated to a seoul based lgbtq+ youth crisis support center named dding dong. in just under four days these fans raised more than $4,000 (usd) that was put toward dding dong’s ongoing donation project on global giving that focuses on using the money given to: provide safe spaces for lgbtq+ youth that includes counseling (both private and street), psychological consultations, health check up’s, meals, and other important resources that many south korean lgbtq+ youth are not able to access themselves. all that is done through the program focuses heavily on the physical health, mental health and general safety and comfort of the youth. more on the project can be read here as of march 31st: the project has raised $44,460 of a $50,000 goal. the direction of this post is probably pretty obvious: i think that it would be wonderful if we, as a fanbase, could come together and donate money in his name toward the organization once again for his upcoming birthday. the minimum for donation through global giving is $10 usd. donations can be made directly through the the project page both by name and anonymous. on the donation page it gives the option to donate in honor of someone. if you choose to go this route i’d suggest to donate under jonghyun’s name. (so: simply kim jonghyun) the second option would be contacting me to help with your donation if you are not able to do so in the traditional manner, though i’ll gladly guide you through it all considering how simple the process is. either way, if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask!

Oh okay! I bought the zine, but I entered a ton of shipping information, should i have done that?

It doesn’t matter if you do or don’t! It’ll be marked as shipped by us even though it won’t be physically shipped. We use this to mark the orders we’ve sent the PDF to, otherwise it doesn’t matter if you’ve added shipping information or not. :)

I have a question about the zine--is it a pdf file or a physical book?

It is a digital PDF file! We haven’t been able to release the zine as a physical book - though that was originally our plan. This has been due to circumstances (both personal and also mainly Jonghyun’s passing has taken a toll on all of us...)

Hi! I got my copy of the fanzine today - it's wonderful! Thank you SO MUCH for organizing this. It's such a fabulous way to celebrate 10 years with SHINee. <3

We’re very glad you like it! No problem. It was a lot of fun to work on this project for all of us, despite the hardships on the way and the fact we’ve never done this before. :) So it was all a bit new. We’re really thankful to all the artists who participated in our zine, and of course also to everyone spreading the word and buying the zine! <3
