"Not maybe. You are wasting time."
He could be a lot more annoyed at the way the girl stormed off as rudely, but he was feeling a lot more benevolent than usual. If anything, the older male is a lot more agreeable with the talking, although his grinning face and easygoing personality bothers him.
Much more when he seems so unaware of who they'd been talking to all along. Such arrogance.
"Would you even bother questioning anything right now?" He asks him, uncaring for the fact that he has a companion to follow, "Why stroll along a tempered little brat, why come into my domains, who exactly am I?"

"You are probably right, sir. We seem to do that a lot, show up and not really do anything." he chuckled, before looking at the younger one, who was fuming out of her ears. He just watched as she stomped her foot and walked away, clenching a part of her dress as she kicks whatever was in her way. Ah, such a naive little girl…
"Though, maybe we were fated to meet at this short time, just for time to let pass, as another event you are not permitted to witness happens." he added, before grinning at the other.
"Or maybe we’re just wasting time, for dreams that can not be fulfilled.

Regardless of the intrusion, he's less annoyed by the break-ins he's been facing lately-- after all, he's now a leader; as such, he must face the people that remain, friends or foes.
It doesn't necessarily means he'll do it nicely, though.
Sighing, he halts on his previous activities to regard the stranger with a terrible posture and a look so soft it seemed borderline bored.

"...To what do I owe the visit?"
His tone is just as dull as his general stance, like he's holding back the need to step out of the room.

Hah...Now I'm sure of it. You're actually mindless.
…Yes, is there something wrong with that?

There's nothing but indifference in the way he regards the girl's discomfort, her words, even the colorful display of her accessories or her companion.

"Whatever you say," He says, dismissive, "Talk about magic and then deny being a magician-- it's not like I give a damn, either way."
Then, he's staring off in the distance, the redness of the sky.
"So neither of you have anything to do with Hope's Peaks nor even know of this place? If I got that right, then I see no use of your being here at all."
That look he shot made her feel inferior, and it frustrated her even more. She despised people who looked down on her…
Still, whatever she wanted to put into words had depleted to broken words. She only kept the stern look on her face, the bow on her head glowing redder beyond the gray hues it had.

"I’m not a magician. It’s just the necklace around my neck that has weird powers on it." She’d say she was human, but that’s only partially true. Probably.
Chesh could only scoff a laugh at her response, looking at the other with them after.

Can you?

Pfft! Technically, you can. You just did, which would irritate me any other day...
But you know what? You've been behaving remarkably so far, so I'll let it go this once. Although I'm going to have to ask for you to introduce yourself first, to make things fair.
█ ▌ █ ▌❀ I-I…I suppose—? Cordiality is always an admirable trait, though I’ve never considered myself especially welcoming or gregarious—my apologies.
Ah, I’m only looking for my older brothers, though I doubt y-you’ve seen them before—
Since we’re not acquainted with another—can I ask for your name…?

'New friends', you said?

Don't tell me your actual intention was to befriend me, of all things?
… … … …Well, I can’t say I’m not a little disappointed…I always enjoy making new friends…
But if that’s how you feel then that’s fine, too…I understand.

He nods vaguely at the catman, though he doesn't completely buy the whole part about 'this world'. The only world he knows is his--and someone else's--, and anything else is nothing but bogus.
There's no need to refer to that just yet, though. The girl's face is an open book, and he happens to be an avid reader.
His look turns to her, piercing as the dagger he made her drop.

"You look like you have something to say."

"We’re afraid not. We’ve only just arrived on this world, so anything on this place is beyond our knowledge." It was funny to him, to be called a magician. Then again, anybody in a world with no such things would consider one to be so. As for Ecila though, her frustration was painted on her face. Last time she was called that, well…ended not so well.

Then it would be on your best interest to keep your distance, even if I'm in such an agreeable mood.
I don't take kindly to people not recognizing the differences between their status and mine.

… …Well, you’re certainly entitled to believe that, but that doesn’t exactly make it true…And I’m not sure what good it does if I don’t believe the same…Since I won’t treat you as such.

He likes how there's no need to wait for Hinata when he starts walking-- even if he's annoyed, he still catches right up, and as much as the thought makes him want to laugh, he'd probably follow right along were their places switched.
The silence they get into when they walk is welcomed, and undisturbed by Hinata's question. When he acts curious, Komaeda gets reminded of what he was like back when they met, and their destination seems more and more appropriate by the second. He hums.
"I'd rather see how you react by the time we get there, but if I were to give a hint..." He trails off, thinking of how to make it sound vague. When he does, he chuckles to himself.

"Think of it as some sort of graveyard." He decides. A while after he does, the road becomes a little more narrow, with buildings and old cars making the way close up so that they can only walk in a line.
Komaeda's first instinct is to reach behind him, offering Hinata his hand to guide him, rather than keeping him close, and the second is not to look at him at all. He himself is unaware of what expression he might be pulling at the incoming path.
"We're close."
He’s very aware Komaeda isn’t really paying attention— and won’t bother to, honestly— so Hinata doesn’t bother to get back at him with more snarky commentaries, either. The overly sweet smile only earns another annoyed huff from his part. Sometimes it’s a bit sickening, the way Komaeda constantly pulls the innocent act on him.
… The fact the other has a destination actually surprises him, but Hinata only nods before tagging along yet again. He’s got nothing to do, anyway, and whatever Komaeda has in mind is probable to provide some sort of entertainment. Maybe.
But because he’s still all too human he can’t stop the curiosity, and once they’ve walked in silence for a little while, he asks.
"Where are we going, exactly?" Hinata is still not looking at Komaeda, instead settling for the ruined road ahead of them. "I can’t think of anywhere worth visiting in this dumpster."

Haah--?
It wouldn't be weird at all, I assure you. Because I am above a lot of people. I wouldn't be surprised at all if you were part of that lot.
Oh…? If you’re so sure then I guess I’ll just have to take your word for it…You seem like you know more about it than me.
… … …Know my place…? Like I said…I just think being polite is the least I owe anyone…So it’s probably not a matter of knowing my place so much as it’s just how I treat everyone…
Anyways, we just met. So it’d be weird for me to treat you like you were above myself, I think.

He doesn't know if he should feel more insulted at her condescending tone, or at the explanation she gave. Nobody is ever to act as if they know more than he does-- even when they do. That's strike one.
Strike two comes when the cat takes on the form of a character he's sure he's read before, and he can only narrow his look at them, disapproving, yet somehow, unfeeling. Even if the light tricks have been taken up a notch, he can't allow something other than a blink to acknowledge his surprise.

"...Right then, magicians. I don't suppose you tricksters happen to know-- or knew, rather, of Hope's Peaks Academy?"
The fact that their names nor talents ring a bell to him is the reason he remains as composed. They interests him, these potential friends or foes.
"What else is there to explain. It’s magic." she answered in a matter-of-fact tone, followed by a sigh. This must be one of those worlds with none of the fantasies being their reality. Hopefully not another sci-fi filled world either. The words they use confuse her too much. She looked back at her companion, who nodded again and shifted in front of them into an adult, fully clothed, with his feline features in tact.
Neither of them felt safe. Not with the tone he just used.

"…also…I’m Ecila. He’s Chesh."

"Cheshire Cat, to be exact. She just calls me that."

Of all people--
He only glares.

"As a matter of fact, you do. I'm not in the mood to deal with you, so if you have nothing of substance to say, leave."
A smirk played on her lips and she chuckled softly.
