Reasons we are exhausted, to the tune of Gloria's speech in the Barbie movie:

We should always be getting more sleep but not too much

While also staying hustling

Working the side job passion project with all our spare time

While also getting plenty of rest

And excelling at our full-time day job

And giving our family, friends, partners, neighbors, and more the "community care" they deserve. Invest in your relationships!

And finding time for creativity

And be an activist for everything going wrong in the world, with no exclusions or exceptions

Which requires knowing everything about everything the minute it happens

And converting everyone we know to every cause and movement no matter who we alienate because we're personally responsible for ending every evil NOW and can't rely on the most affected to do it for us

But it helps to not alienate people because sometimes incremental progress is vital to change and harm reduction even if it provides an excuse for some to stay stuck in lukewarm moderate centrism

But you should stay in your lane and not speak on what's not yours, keep out of spaces where you aren't needed

But if you're also not serving a nationally known organization under the most marginalized, you're complacent with injustice

But not that one or that one... Or that one. They are all problematic and how dare you align yourself with them without knowing all the third-hand gossip of the internet

We must take sanity breaks from social media to keep our minds/emotions from frying like an egg and keep our spines/necks/eyes from damage

But also if you take a break, you're a privileged asshole

We have to sit up with good posture

But if you do, you must think you're better than everyone else, what a snob

You have to eat healthy to keep your body and mind working

But if you do, you're an overcontrolling obsessive party pooper

You have to avoid all triggers (from allergens to trauma to chronic illness)

But if you do, you're too fragile or complicated to hang out with

You have to be proud of your disability as a superpower but disabled isn't a dirty word but you can't use it as an excuse but you also have to be responsible to advocate not only for yourself but for everyone else's accommodations but if you do, you're a problem and need to stop playing at being a special snowflake and are you even disabled enough to speak out anyway?

You have to be comfortable using neurodivergent labels even if you're not confident they apply to you because that's internalized ableism that harms the whole community and your doubts about yourself are just prejudice against everyone else but if you do start using them, you probably are just following a trend and aren't neurodivergent enough to qualify, stop taking up resources meant for those with real problems and either get a valid diagnosis or stop claiming social media diagnosed you, that's all just misinformation

But if you call out random unqualified influencers for misinformation, you're a gatekeeper and just don't like the truth

We definitely want to hear about your queerness but only if it fits the narrative I have personally decided you should adhere to with no information or regard for your cultural, familial, religious, financial, or social context or your personality, appearance, or preferences. You cannot be cringy covered in rainbows, but if you don't meet our standards of queer culture competency, you're just faking it for attention and an overenthusiastic ally

If you disagree with me or have reasons you can't simultaneously fill all of these moral requirements and time machine expectations with endless energy and enthusiasm, you're making excuses

But if you have too much passion, time, energy, or enthusiasm, you're The Worst, so obnoxious 🙄

If you try to talk to me, you're annoying and should just shut up and leave people alone, but if you don't talk to me, you must hate me and be ignoring me on purpose

You need to stop reading the news and touch grass, but as soon as you do, I'm going to gawk at how privileged and sheltered you are for not understanding every nuance of a rumor I heard about a world event thousands of miles away

Why aren't you doing yoga right now to practice mindfulness and be a better, healthier person, but if you are doing it, it's cultural appropriation and what a boring basic bitch, I bet you judge people for eating junk food

If you eat junk food, you WILL DIE of all the chemicals!

If you have ever eaten anything, your whole body is micro plastics

If you drive, you're the reason to blame for climate change policy failing, but if you take public transportation and have to walk too far, it runs late, the route takes much longer, or there's a service disruption, why didn't you just drive?

If you're well traveled, what a spoiled brat, but if you're not, what an ignorant bumpkin

You really should have published a bestseller/started a podcast/become a success by your age, but if you have, wow, what an attention whore! Gross.

Why aren't you currently training for a charity race while serving the homeless and fostering all the kids and animals in the world and helping to elect candidates who solve systemic issues at the legislative level, but don't you know those people and organizations are all corrupt and you're participating in platforming someone whose brother broke up with me through a text 25 years ago, but if you don't support your own community, why do you even live here? You cannot expect change if you don't start in your own neighborhood but if you try to start speaking out in your neighborhood, you'll become That Person who everyone dreads and doesn't get invited to parties because you're constantly on a crusade and don't know how to be normal

But if you did get invited and went just to have fun without constantly trying to inform your community about tragedies happening in the world, wow, what a fake. Guess you weren't really interested in justice at all

Btw your skincare routine both is too pretentious and also not sufficient

Your living space is probably too dirty to even think about even if you just cleaned it yesterday

Don't you feel guilty about your clothes for being too expensive and also too cheap and too casual and too much and yet also too basic without enough personality but maybe your "personal style" could grow up some but also why do you look so boring while also being too weird and out there, no wonder everyone is staring while also no one is noticing you. You're both an obvious embarrassment and completely invisible and entirely predictable while not really fitting in or standing out or being Too Cool like a mean girl bitch, but not cool enough like a total nerd. Completely clueless and unremarkable but you're also probably manipulating us on purpose to get attention

Let's not even get started on your app profiles that are both boring lonely loser status and intimidating perfectionist catfisher impostor at once.

Why are you such a lazy waste of... Oh wait hold on, this just in, now you're overachiever trying to make everyone else feel bad ... Nope wait, back to being a human blob who is never enough... Oops, now you're WAY too much for these people, dial it back, but not that far, now they think you're antisocial.

Don't be mad when people expect you to agree with everything they say and then if you don't, they feel attacked and offended.

But if you're inauthentic, you'll never find real friends/romance!! Always be yourself, but only in the ways that make everyone else happy and grateful.

By the way, you have to know how to be helpful but not step into anyone else's territory or be inappropriately kind in a way that makes someone feel insulted while also being humble and welcoming but constantly aware of power dynamics and not embarrassing yourself or inviting someone who vague posted or was vague posted about in the last year or five

And if you can't read minds, you're not going to make it here, but if you guess too close to home, that's EVEN WORSE and you're not supposed to read people that clearly, how rude

Thank you so much for the great feedback about my Swimsuit Special here and on Twitter, you guys rock.

However, I'm going to update a couple of things:

Someone pointed out that I forgot to draw Alexei's tattoos (BooooOOOOOuh! 😝) so I'll update the artwork in the post by a new version. I'll try to be as close as what you can see in the MCU when it comes to Alexei's tattoos but I had to improvise on some parts of his body, particularly his legs. Preview:

2. I didn't draw her because I didn't consider her a member of The New Avengers but people on Twitter kept on asking for Antonia (Taskmaster) so I'll add her to the series at the same time as Alexei new version. Here's a preview (that is still a work in progress) :
