I’m really really hoping...

They don’t drag out the “Olicity angst because Felicity can’t let go that Oliver didn’t include her in his decision” thing again. Hear me out:

A- they’ve already done that in season 4.

Even that to me was an overdramtic mess. Ending a relationship because you were mad a man you know doesn’t have the most experience leaning on others instead of depending on solely himself made a decision without including you.

B- It’s getting kinda OOC

When Olicity reunited and Oliver started pushing everyone away Felicity refused and even said “I’m glue baby”. Well, must be pretty weak glue if she’s even alluding to being ready to bounce.

C- why would she think going dark wouldn’t mesh with Oliver-

Literally the one character that knows more about working towards balance and reconciliation of the two sides of themselves is Oliver... her husband... who she constantly preaches communication to... whose sitting right in front of her begging for a conversation

D- it’s all starting to get old.

Everyone talks about Barry and Iris working together and working through obstacles without drama... why can’t that be Olicity for one freaking season?!? The writers are constantly throwing angst and will/won’t they be able to move forward... give it a damn rest already!!!

I have this feeling the whole Felicity mad at Oliver and Oliver is painted as the bad guy for making a decision behind her back again drama is going to be drawn out for awhile 😫. To me, this honestly just trashes Felicity as a character even more because let’s face it... it’s becoming a pattern with her to attempt to walk away.

I take solace in the fact that what’s happening now in the fandom mirrors almost exactly to what happened within another. Rudeness, harassment, bullying, and all the other bullshit didn’t matter in the end. The trolls were fed crumbs every once an awhile to keep them interested in the show, but in the end... it didn’t freaking matter.

Yes! Let’s all put aside our differences and show a united front. NBC can’t mute us all not ignore the barrage of mentions if we all band together and put them on blast (nicely). We need answers and this is a way to show that we’re not going to stay silent or go away.

That which we call “Bashing”..

Ok guys. I have seen so much drama on Twitter in regards to this ship war. I’m not even going to pretend like there isn't one occurring, because that is counterproductive. There is a ship war, it’s getting ridiculous, and it needs to end. Why is it becoming such an issue? Because people have literally no respect for other people. At all. You do not get to bash a character and tag a group you know adore that character. It’s not but for discussion... it’s only purpose is to offend and stir the pot.

That said, what is character bashing?

Character bashing is NOT pointing out the actions of a character. They happened. You’ve seen it. You can justify it all you want but that does not negate it happened. You can ignore that it happened. BUT IT STILL HAPPENED. 

Facts: Flynn choked Lucy. Flynn kidnapped Lucy. Flynn held Lucy at gunpoint. Flynn shot at Lucy and her friends. Flynn left Lucy and her friends to die in the past.

These actions are NON-NEGOTABLE. They happened. Period. I don't care what you think about them. Thats not the issue. They happened. 

Now.. character bashing IS when you take an action and put your interpretation on it, and then pick fights with others who do not agree.

“Wyatt is abusive, manipulative, and controlling” IS bashing his character, which will anger those who do not agree. This is not a cannon fact in the fandom and therefore is YOUR opinion. So stop tagging it and starting stuff with those you know don't agree. 

I have said many things about Flynn. I love his character and like the redemption arc. I have never said anything about Flynn’s character besides the actions of season 1 have drawn a thick line for me and romance is completely off the table for me. Period. There is no “my ship is better than your ship because...” so extending the same courtesy would go a long way. Many of us feel Wyatt was not controlling, but worried for Lucy spending time with a man that has done many things against her and the team. Not enough to warrant the comments about emotionally abusive or controlling. So yes, when bombarded with tweets and blogs with that stuff spewed, it is only natural to defend our view. 

See the difference? 

It’s a pretty big difference. Actions vs. perceptions. 

If you truly believe that Wyatt is an irredeemable and awful character; Cool. Thats your prerogative. However, many people don’t agree so to quote that common phrase now “stay in your lane”. Think that romantic g*rcy is endgame.. Cool, many don’t agree so stop attacking those that will not be ok with that. 

And by the way.... I know you think you’re cool by saying things like Lyatt shippers are immature, don’t understand adult relationships, are 12 years old, and have warped perception of reality... but it really just reflects more on your character darlings. 

Well written characters go through long developments. For Wyatt, he has always had his flaws hidden under the surface. Jessica’s return and the conflict with his feelings for Lucy was the way in which his flaws come to the surface and are worked on... to make him a better character, and create deeper relationships.

Flynn lost his family and did terrible things (RIP NASA guy) in the name of vengeance. He is now restoring a bit of his humanity and becoming a deeper and more complex character who will find redemption when he gets his family back (ya’ll know thats going to happen right?). 

Our fight right now is purely with NBC to even get a season 3.

Yet another Wyatt Logan defence post

So, I wasn’t going to post this, but I’ve been getting slowly more and more enraged.

I saw a couple of posts here that claimed that Wyatt hit Lucy on purpose during the fight with Flynn.

What. The. Fuck.

Let me preface this with me stating that I don’t hate Flynn. I honestly think he’s a very complex and interesting character. Anyone who says they wouldn’t do some of the shady things he did to save their family is quite frankly, a liar. I have 2 kids and a partner I adore. If anything happened to them, I would do everything in my power to either get revenge or justice. Simple as that.

The way these posts were written, you would think (if you hadn’t seen the episode) that Wyatt had literally turned around and full on punched her in the face. That clearly did not happen.

Flynn and Wyatt are scuffling against the wall. Wyatt is in what I call a red haze. The only person he sees is Flynn. He doesn’t hear anyone shouting at them BOTH to stop, he doesn’t know who has approached him from behind and made contact with him. He lashes out.

Flynn sees that it’s Lucy and tries to stop him, I’ll state that here and now, but Wyatt thinks he’s fighting back and lashes out. Lucy gets hurt and the second Wyatt realises what has happened, the fight ends.

If it had been Rufus, Jiya, or Agent Christopher, they too would be nursing a bruised jaw. It wasn’t about WHO, it was about a reaction.

I’ve been in physical fights and have done similar. I have seen HIGHLY TRAINED people (martial arts and military) do the same thing. It’s not a conscious decision, and while their training SHOULD prevent things like this happen, emotion overrides everything and someone gets hurt who shouldn’t.

SHould that fight have happened? No. Was it expected? Yes. I’m honestly it didn’t happen sooner if I’m honest. These two dislike one another, and Flynn was winding Wyatt up. Maybe Wyatt should have been the bigger person and walked away, but he was hurt and betrayed by the woman he thought was his wife.

Throughout season 1, all Wyatt wanted was Jessica back. He’d lived through SIX YEARS of guilt and grief. That changes a person in a profound way. 

It’s only when he starts to have feelings from Lucy does he start to care about people other than his dead wife, does he allow people in.

Yes, there are a lot of things Wyatt Logan did wrong in season 2, but this was AN ACCIDENT! Don’t make it out to be a sign of him being an abuser, because that is WAY OFF THE MARK!

I’m not tagging this because I don’t want to be accused of posting it in the wrong tag, but it needed to be said!

Can I get an AMEN 🙌🏻! That whole “Wyatt ha assaulted Lucy too” argument is shot to hell. From the writer and EP. Enough with the character bashing to fit your narrative.
