so cats, while having very good distance vision, are a lot more geared towards spotting movement rather than detail per se so their vision isn’t very good up close (I think about 30cm in front of them?)

anyways long sighted Keith that stopped wearing his glasses post kerberos and squints at everything except everyone assumes it’s bc he’s moody but no. He genuinely can’t tell that everything is in altean for the first like week bc it made no difference to him he can’t see shit up close

So, it’s pretty much canon that Coran initially assumes that the Paladins are much, much stronger than they really are. (Aka, somewhere on the Altean Strength Spectrum.) Coran literally only takes Hunk with him to the Balmera simply because Hunk is big and “big = strong” and Coran almost lifts the battleship class crystal by himself, but Hunk (wisely) doesn’t even try to assist. (Arguably a slightly younger Coran in his prime would’ve managed carting that crystal around just fine...at least over short distances.)

Basically, what if Coran and especially Allura are initially scared to hug the Paladins so that they don’t accidentally squish them? It’d also explain why Allura is always the “small spoon” with whoever she’s hugging, with her arms tucked tightly to her chest and neatly under her chin—even with other Alteans she’s still “too strong.”

Allura does finally actually hug with her arms, sometimes. But her habit is still to lead “arms tucked” and let the other person set the pressure to mimick when she finally clings to them, too

i feel like every time anyone on team voltron screws up in training or does something especially dumb (as teenagers do) there’d be this silent moment

Since it's the last day of voltron on Netflix, I took the time to watch one episode. It took a while to decide, but I ended up watching Space Mall. Still one of my favorite episodes.

Now, correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the whole point of Netflix originals is to give people an incentive to sub to Netflix to watch a particular show or movie that they can’t watch anywhere else?

What is even the point of labeling something a ���Netflix original” if it’s just going to get removed from the service regardless?

Yes, I am aware of the fact that Dreamworks owns the rights to Voltron, but it still doesn’t make any sense to remove the series from Netflix when it has been an “original” for eight years now.

If the Netflix exclusivity deal wasn’t a permanent thing, then they should have been upfront about that.

Anyway, keep buying physical media and keep pirating everything that never got released on DVD/Blu Ray.
