Huh, I'm starting to realize that conservatives really like narratives of outside ideas corrupting their children.

Their kids don't disagree with them because they thought carefully and came to different conclusions, rather, their kids were exposed to misleading propaganda and sort of just... floated along with it because they aren't really capable of understanding anything.

I don't know, I guess that's obvious? But it's so foreign to how I was raised.

Lately, I'm also thinking that a lot of times people end up rejecting an ideology that the people around them want them to have because they start taking the ideology seriously and then look around and realize that none of the people who are telling them that it's the most important thing in the world take it anywhere near as seriously.

Democrats are criticizing Trump's Big Beautiful Bill and instead of sticking to shit that matters, they can't help but scaremonger over suppressors -- literal mufflers -- getting their $200 transfer tax removed if this bill passes. They seem far more concerned about that than anything else, including 14 million people getting kicked off Medicaid.
