Man. Tried playing ajpw again after years only to realise the game is completely insufferable now

Hadn't even been 3 days before I decided I don't want anything to do with ajpw again. I don't see how it's ever going to be enjoyable now (short-ish rant on why under the cut)

I had to start on a new account since my main was probably deactivated with the inactivity, and I haven't been able to have a single conversation at all with anyone. People literally don't give a shit to talk to you if you don't have a million rare items you can trade them or sell to them (which is a problem in ajc too, but this is a pw post, so)

Community aside, the game itself seems to now be such a clusterfuck of features that don't amount to anything except fueling trades and shops. It doesnt add any value to the game, it just makes it more miserable for players who don't pay to get items in demand or new players who won't get trades to save their lives, forcing them to rely on finding cheap shops

Ajpw is just in such a disgusting state with the things that they've now locked for members and the things they try to make money off of. At least ajc only encouraged you to spend money on membership and diamonds if you really want. They never had this dumbass gacha system that ajpw has with the tokens

Jammers are rejoicing as the forgotten desert has been remembered once again!

Much like the myths of treasure-hunting pirates, jammers cannot wait to get back to digging in the sand for treasure. Tip #1

During espically frigid weather, make sure to stop by the hot cocoa hut to try out the automatic hot cocoa machine! The Hot Cocoa Hut has a rich history on Mt. Shiveer being its finest and only establishment.

Tip #2

When your fur or scales or feathers or skin just arent cutting it against the biting winds of Mt. Shiveer, make sure to stop back in the famous Hot Cocoa Hut to purchase proper warm gear to fight of the cold.

Tip #3

The frozen ground or permafrost of Shiveer can be tough on the paws and feet, so when you are looking to give your walkers a break and cuddle up on the soft pillows of the Hot Cocoa Hut.

Today's weather report

Amateur meteorologist Magical Snowyice reports that the conditions on Mt. Shiveer are uncomfortably cold. Snowyice says that jammers should expect temps to be below freezing this whole week and to expect excessive snowfall upwards of 2 feet. Staying outdoors for an extended period of time is not recommended, and visiting jammers should take extra precaution against the ice and extreme cold. To conclude the report, Snowyice insists that jammers refrain from deliberately attempting to break the ice as it can lead to serious injury.
