Our Intramurals 2023
Today is our first day of Intramurals,
this is my first time to join team activities so I am thrilled for this Intramurals. Our team leaders, Ate Sophia and Kuya Shanwel gathered Golden Flames to pray for our activities. We prayed for not only Golden Flames but for Lighting Jamz to be safe as well. High School students then gave out balloons and confetti for the parade from School to Ma'am Songcal. I had so much fun on the parade!
Teacher Yan welcomed everyone as students cheered happily for her. Lupang Hinirang was starting so everyone paid attention, then Kuya Nico was Lighting the torch, Ate Sophia led the Oath of Amateurism, and we received a band performance from NxN "Raining in Manila". I enjoyed the band performance as I was familiar with the song and I was with my friends. After the band performance, the production number for Mr. and Mrs. Intramurals started. I cheered for my dearest classmates Andie and Gobi as they went along with their performance. Yet of course I didn't only cheer for them, I also cheered for the other candidates as I witnessed them giving their best. Another band performance followed, Crimson playing "Party in the USA". Teacher Yan then announced that the next dance performance was from grades 1-4, I figured that I knew no one from grades 1-4 and the tent was filled with parents cheering for their children, so I, Francheska, Andie, Kla, Abby, Sophia, Hanna, And Yani took some photos with our Instax Cameras. After a couple more band performances, Teacher Vanessa gathered us and made us line as we were heading back to school. We had lots of rest time from 10:00 to 12:30 as we arrived from Ma'am Songcal early.
After lunchtime, all the students lined up so they could walk to Ma’am Songcal. Scrabble or Chess needed to stay at school to play for their team. I was one of the Scrabble Players. I was playing against my classmates Johanna and Madeleine so it was a pretty chill game as we didn't truly mean any hard feelings. Johanna won the Scrabble match and I was happy for them! I didn't really care who won or lost, at least we are making memories and moments that are more precious then gold.
Then, after my Scrabble match, I was told to join some of the other Golden Flames students going to Ma’am Songcal, I looked at who they were and I was relieved to know that it was just some of my Kuyas and Ates. I indeed went with them to Songcal and when I arrived, Ate Xyza called me to watch the basketball and volleyball game with her. We kept cheering for the Golden Flames! Then Golden Flames indeed won!
Today is our second day of Intramurals,
I arrived at school just in time before our group leaders lined us up. When we arrived at Ma’am Songcal, the first sport they played was basketball (elementary). I cheered for my friends as they made their efforts to win the game. In the end, the Golden Flames indeed won! Although I felt bad for some of my friends on the other team, I mainly focused on the positive side. After the basketball game ended, soccer-baseball came next. I wasn’t truly interested in soccer-baseball so me and Ate Ava danced our hearts out to the music Ate Aki played for us. We then went back to school shortly after the game was finished.
We ate our meals happily as one of my classmates, Hans was having a birthday! He gave us Jollibee meals such as Jolly Spaghetti, Burger Steak, and Chicken Joy! After our lunchtime, our group leaders let the students who participated in sports line up, I wanted to go with them to cheer for our team yet students who didn't participate in sports were not allowed to come with them. I stayed with Ate Ava, Kuya Rajon, and Kuya Lance for the time being as we played lots of games together. I then went home got some rest and got ready for the final day of our Intramurals.
Today is our final day of Intramurals,
I am very nervous about our cheer dance competition! We started our day with a last-minute blocking on the school grounds. Then we quickly went to prepare our appearances. For girls, we were doing our make-up, changing into our team t-shirts, eating, and talking with our friends, as for boys, all they did was change, eat, and talk. After everyone and everything was ready we then went to Ma’am Songcal. Once we arrived Teachers and Leaders assisted us in wearing our props and braids. The moment we all waited for us beginning! The program is starting. Teacher Litlit gave this year's judges a warm welcome! Introducing them one by one. One of the judges was even my Grandmother and another was my advisor. After the judges were settled the cheer dance competition began. We were first and oops I made a mistake! I forgot to pick up my pom poms after the first formation! It wasn't obvious though as Ate Jeli, who was beside me, also made the same mistake and we were both in the middle so it wasn't obvious. The cheer dance ended up being amazing! The Lighting Jamz were next, theirs was really good too! I loved both performances even though I'm a part of the Golden Flames group, as I remembered what Teacher Vanessa told us about sportsmanship. The Mr. and Ms. Intramurals were next, and I was amazed by the looks of my friends! Andie was beautiful, K-la looked like a Ms. Universe candidate, Ate Jalena looked stunning, and Ate Venice looked like a goddess!
Of course, I didn't only appreciate the girls, but the boys too. Gobi looked charming, Seth looked handsome, and Kuya Angelo looked like an actual shooter, and Kuya Sean was so into his acting in Taekwondo.
After the sports demonstrations, they announced the winners, and the winner was Lighting Jamz! I was so happy for them! I have to admit, I wanted our team to win but I had to respect and be happy for them. Another thing I would want to admit is that most of my teammates didn't show sportsmanship in the end, they kept cursing and crying about how they lost. It didn't affect me that we lost because if I looked into the negative side too, the entire school might as well be crying now. Still, I had fun despite the times we went through just for this dance, what I focused on the most, was the memories and moments we built together, and I believe that's what is gonna matter the most.
