“A teacher does not only teach a lesson because they also teach about life”

If you're still wondering, let me just remind you how important the role of an educator is. In our society, aside from your parents, teachers are the ones who can guide and teach you. A word from them could be for the betterment of you. They expand your knowledge and help you nurture it. However, to become an educator, you need to go through a process of knowing what revolves around teaching.

 

Let me tell you a story. This is about a kid who always wanted to associate herself with money but ended up falling in love with the art of teaching.

In choosing the course that I will take, I decided to think about my weakness, which serves as a basis for a challenging course that could test and help me, and that's being an English educator. There is a school that offers a quality education for free. I enrolled in it without doubt and am waiting for the results of my applications.

 

Weeks have passed, and I finally found out that I passed. Knowing that, I decided to prepare myself for the fate that destiny gave me. When I entered the freshman level, I struggled with sentence construction and with studying, particularly reading. Also, I found out my weaknesses. After that, in my second-year student journey, the beauty and importance of teaching hit me. Moreover, the process of teaching reading, phonemes, and sentences was also introduced. Aside from that, I started to explore and experience speaking in front of a class, constructing sentences with minimal errors, and doing a presentation like a teacher. After finishing the second-year level, a lot of realisations hit me. I just found out that I am slowly enjoying it. Even though it is difficult since English does not only revolve around language but also literature, I still find enjoyment in it. As of now, I am currently a third-year student. A lot of expectations have been set, and plenty of workloads await. At our level today, we are expected to be knowledgeable enough about the field that we took. It is a must that I do not only know it, because understanding it is also needed.

 

All in all, my experiences proved that teaching is not as easy as other people expected. Teachers are the professionals. Also, even though I'm still a pre-service teacher who still doesn't have any experience teaching while interacting with children, I can say that I fell in love with teaching. I have not yet finished, but I have already accepted the difficulties and challenges that I could face.
