“Of course I think you’re cute.” Barou’s voice is gruff, eyebrows knit together in a look that can only be considered unamused. But really he’s quite nervous, stomach twisting in a knot as she gets closer.

He isn’t accustomed to this — closeness, really, but especially from pretty girls. Barou’s too mean, too gruff, all sharp angles and big presence no matter how hard he tries not to.
