Actually how the fuck is Jon not marked by the lonely. Like I get that he is in theory, he needed to be marked by all 14 but like why did it take walking INTO the lonely, why wasn’t Jon already the lonely’s special little boy.

Jon’s parents died when he was very young. The one connection everyone in the world is promised, connection via womb, taken away before he could even properly remember he had it. The woman who took him in and raised him still maintained that canyon of a distance with her own grandson because she wanted a grandson not to raise another son. He’s not confirmed to have ever made any close friends, at least none that stuck around. The one person he’s confirmed to have dated left too without a trace of contact until he was desperate. He was only friendly with the coworkers that did the heavy lifting talking with him, and the one that survived hated him so truly and deeply close to the end that it changed all before it. Everyone else he met and entertained (Helen, Gerry, Daisy, Basira, Melanie) all either hated him or died before he could know them. Dude for most of the show the only one consistently in his corner was fucking Elias. That blows.

I’m so convinced the web has to consistently fist fight the lonely for custody of Jon’s tortured mind because good lord how can a guy be so forsaken
