ok here are my dex hcs finallydamn!!!!!

he still thinks technopathy is lame he just doesn't say anything bc 1) he has nothing better to do and 2) he would get shanked by the whole team bc they would lowkey be dead without a technopath

if he had it his way he'd be a conjurer and would take up alchemy like his dad

part of that was because he was like obsessed with edaline as a kid. he thought she was the coolest person ever bc juline would tell him stories about them growing up and whenever the family would visit the ruewens he would just follow her around

this unsettled eda for a good while but he was like her exposure therapy to being around children again that only worked because he never actually said anything to her

since he's doing blueprints all the time he's gotten really good at drawing machinery. keefe has begged him for lessons but dex is also the worst teacher in existence so keefe is speaking art terms and dex is speaking technical terms and they both end up confused

him and the triplets are absolutely obsessed with human reality dramas and whenever juline was in the forbidden cities for black swan bs she would snag a couple dvds

now they don't have to do that for reasons i won't specify. unrelated dex's favorite pastime is pirating things

him and sophie randomly appear in each others houses sometimes it's not even weird anymore. but usually dex bolts inside asap because he's lowkey scared of half the animals in havenfield's pastures

him and fitz both clocked years ago that whenever one of them notices a habit that the other has they unintentionally start mirroring it for a while so they've started consciously randomly doing stupid quirky habits to fuck with each other

whenever he feels insane he goes to hang out with tinker to remind himself that at least he's not that bad. whenever he feels too chill he goes to hang out with tinker so she can drive him insane and keep him on his toes. whenever the council pisses him off he goes to see tinker so he can escape the fact he's like. a government worker. if he's bored and has nothing else to do he's probably fucking with tinker

lovise knows so much about elven technology for no reason other than when dex is up late working on a project she's usually the only one also awake for him to excitedly explain it to. she finds it fascinating but also incredibly inconvenient but part of her knows that dex is probably making things more complicated for literally no reason

dex had a stint where he would enroll in human online colleges and ragebait his professors over gmail with elven scientific findings

dex has always been closer with bex than any of his brothers but by a very thin margin. they're all super tight when they're not actively trying to make each others lives as difficult as possible

i think it’s really amazing how total strangers who have nothing in common but their shared love of a work of fiction will come together across distances and dedicate their time and energy working collaboratively to build an extensive, richly detailed fanon that completely fucking sucks

This quick sketch is based on the scene where Spock erases Kirk's memories of the girl he was in love with (she died and the captain grieved greatly). Now I like the idea that our pointy-eared first officer resorted to such actions only in the most extreme cases. It makes it easier for the captain and nothing prevents him from being focused on their mission anymore, hehe. But because of such machinations, Kirk's next girlfriend becomes the first strong love in his life
