Endless
Love for me is an eternity on Mars where
There was hope for life but
The red dust still thinks it can transpire

Cherry Tree
You are
The seeds that I carry in my pocket
On the way home from the shore
You blossom in every way that nature will allow
Up, out, strong, rooted in the country ground
A cherry tree that sings in the spring
And hugs me in the winter when
I pass in different realities
And come back as simply nothing
But you love me all year round
Your leaves are used for tea
To heal my wounds and soothe the nerves
That sometimes steal life from me
So, thank you Cherry tree
For all you have given me
I have never been more humbled
Than by what has given back to the world so
Endlessly

Time Frame
I am old and I am new
Elastic brain puts down the plastic frame
That keep us from the beauty born in the raw
If I am old, and if I am new
You can surely find the present
In someone called "you"

Believe
When asked, "What do you believe in?"
Do you ever secretly think, "Myself?"

Budget
I am always on a budget
A budget to love, a budget to curse, a budget to scam, a budget to get away with all of the things that I want endlessly.
I am a musician on a budget.
I am a college student on a budget.
I am an overweight, love hungry girl who is on a budget and I want to spend what I do not yet have.
I want to spend erroneously, unforgivingly. I want to spend until I completely spent and can replenish the mind.
Replenish my mind with the time and money I have spent but has given back to the earth in harmless ways and most of all, provides me with a surplus that I initiated.

Reflection
I look in the mirror
Venture through the things I don't understand
This way, that way,
Each dimension like a different pulling hand
But I stop and decide to leave
Because I remember it is such a cheap way to feel

Happiness
What is it to feel this elation
That resonates above a dream
and keeps grounded
Reality?

Which West?
Cowboys, rancheros
Train tracks and steamboats
Mississippi to California
A journey – a great one – indeed
But if I pulled the blanket of the Dead Sea
To tuck myself in at night,
What would the other side tell me
If I said that everywhere is West of somewhere,
and its Eastern sister the same?
