Friend, acquaintance

A friend is someone who makes an effort. Well my friend does no such thing. I call and the "friend" does not answer the phone. You try and text the "friend" and the said individual will not answer for the next four days.

But you try with this said friend because a long time ago in which feels like a lifetime ago they were a good friend and you did and talked about everything with them.

People say that is life. But I disagree, it is effort. You make an effort with people who you want to see and talk to. So, sadly this friend has now turned in to an acquaintance.

First Mommy Post

Let's talk about teaching our children respect! Respect for themselves, for thier elders, and of course adults in general.

My daughter is seven years old and has a strong personality. She is stubborn and always thinks she is right. Shoshana wants to think she is the boss in all situations.

Well this morning my 70 year old dad, who takes her to camp in the mornings decided to mock him after he asked her to get on her shoes this morning. I was so mad that she did that, that i yelled at her and used my stern mom voice! "We do not disrespect Pappy, he is 70 years old!!!" Tears started rolling down her face. I proceeded "That is disrespectful!" She looked at me with an understanding glaze.

I want her to understand respect even if it means making her cry. What do you think? Thoughts and praises are welcome.
