where Haruno Sakura is a music producer with a troublesome Talent, Uchiha Sasuke, who oftentimes disappears without notice; and Hyuuga Hinata is an underappreciated musician under Ramen Records (underappreciated because the head of the label, Uzumaki Naruto, is too caught up in Sasuke’s angst that he hasn’t time to notice the other Talents).

When Sakura and Hinata meet, they find out that they get along really well and rather easily; soon, they decide to leave their old boys behind and team up.

They later become successful under YMNK, a newly established label (Hinata is no longer a solo act; she is now in a band with Aburame Shino and Inuzuka Kiba), while becoming even closer friends—inevitably falling in love with each other.

A/N: I’ve been meaning to do some fluff for these two for I don’t know how long. This isn’t exactly what I had in mind, but it let me use a line I’ve had in mind for a long time, so whatever. I actually thought up a few titles for this one, but, go figure, I hated them all.

"… So we can spend your last day as a girls’ day," Anzu says over the phone.

"I’d like that," Shizuka says, almost asleep as she reclines in bed. "I’m looking forward to holding your hand again."

The silence is like a splash of cold water.

"Ah…?"

Shizuka ends the call, gripping the phone tight in both hands and breathing evenly through sheer determination. Minutes later, the vibration of an incoming text jolts through her whole body. It’s from Anzu, naturally:

I’m looking forward to that too.

She huffs a relieved laugh and falls asleep cradling Anzu’s words to her heart.
