there are several whole chapters in the Kama Sutra about homosexuality, but the people now call it a sin and even a mental illness.

I just watched The Dead Poets society and I absolutely loved it and I realized how much I love this kind of story, like movies about young poets/artists/free thinkers (bonus point if there’s an unrealistically inspirational english teacher).

Other movies like this that I love include:

I then realized that all of these films are about men and how there somehow doesn’t seem to be a “Dead Poets Society” like film or series about women.

And then I remembered Anne With An E, where the girls literally meet up in a cave/hut-like thing in the forest to write stories and read them to each other (bonus points for the inspirational female teacher).

Like obvs. the fact that I could only think of one show is still upsetting, but god bless Anne With An E.
