Hey tumblr- I’m looking for a recommendation for a painting software!

So far I’ve been using Photoshop, but for technical reasons I need to switch it up (it’s been driving me insane).

So can anyone recommend a painting software which is PS-esque and possibly free?  or at the very least without monthly fees..

Bonus points if it supports PS brushes :)

btw, I realized I’m gonna be abroad in the end of October (Korea/Japan woo!) so I probably won’t finish Inktober this year, and stop at 23 (flight date)

however, that does mean I can focus on the interesting characters! yay for that!
