It is so liberating to let go of that eternal strive for perfection. You don’t need the perfect equipment to take up new hobby, you car does not need a perfect paintjob to get you to places you’ll enjoy. We tend to obstruct the flow of life with too many thoughts, too many things to do, too many shops we want to go to, too many places we want to visit in a hurry without ever really diving deep into them. Root for more simplicity in your life, more hapiness and less stuff and create less stress for yourself. This is mostly for me, to not stress that much about little things and create more friendly and enjoyable environment for everyone on board your lifeboat.

Shaving — one of my favourite activity. It is kinda like a therapy for me. You can reflect, think and everything slows down around you. That is why I like to do it the old way. With a razor, shaving soap and shaving brush. The whole package. To soak myself in that activity with all my attention and senses. That is when the therapy begins. Complete focus on the task you are doing. As much as I like to go back to classic film when shooting some photos, I also like to know and practice the old ways with some other stuff, to continue the heritage, to be linked with craftmanship, to pay tribute to the days when world was going a little slower than today.

Sometimes one could feel that everyday tasks are overwhelming and fairly boring and are taking up a majority of your time and are standing in your way. When you realize it, you can try to find a way to enjoy these things because let’s admit it, we do spend a lot of time by washing the dishes, making the dinner or waiting in the lines. Finding a way to enjoy these things is the way to living a little happier life. Really! I guess that’s it, happy life is not made of a lot of things and a few expensive holidays. I really do believe that happy and meaningful life takes some work, being close and honest with other people and finding a way to enjoy your everyday life by giving it some kind of purpose. Sometimes I catch myself thinking too much about future, where I am going to live, how, when and what I am going to buy and that’s is when I start to lose the connection with myself, I don’t feel present. I get back by realizing that the important thing is to be present now, even in order to create the future I would like to live. And it is hard because your brain tends to overthink but if you practice, it gets easier. So set yourself a direction rather than exact parameters and go, run, fly towards your life. It is worth it!

Rodina, vztahy, vzájemný respekt, trpělivost, úcta - úcta k řemeslu, ke stáří a k tomu, že ne všechno můžeme mít hned. Už přes dva týdny jsme všichni povinně doma. Z toho týden jsme s Verčou strávili u nich na chatě. Blízko přírodě. Tak trochu mi přijde, že nám příroda naordinovala odpočinek, návrat ke kořenům a ukazuje nám, jak malí ve skutečnosti jsme. Že tu nejsme tak úplně ty páni. Příroda ale nestojí proti nám, jak si tolik myslíme. Možná jen my lidi neumíme žít bok po boku jemných mechanismů bez ničivých účinků. A tak jsme dostali zaracha. Je to sice pruda, ale mě tohle zastavení pomohlo urovnat si v hlavě ty nejhlavnější myšlenky, hodnoty a sundat nohu z plynu.

Tumblr používám tak trochu jako šuplík, občas si sem něco napíšu a na čas odložím. Obrušuju svůj psací cit. Mám rád maličkosti, ty vám totiž stačí k tomu, abyste se třeba někde cítili doma. Nebo k tomu, abyste někoho poznali. To, co jsme, z nás dělají právě maličkosti, naše vrtochy, naše zlozvyky. Mě třeba bezpochybně poznáte podle toho, že si z housky vždycky ulomím půlku - na chuť - a tu druhou tam nechám. 

Jsou to tady tak trošku chaotický útržky. Tvoří ale naprosto unikátní celek. Celek z životních střípků, které sbírám cestou.
