HE KNEW THAT, logically, Sho had a point. There really WASN’T a difference. Sharing a blanket on the BED shouldn’t have carried a HEAVIER meaning than sitting under one while watching a movie. Not unless it HAD one. 

Which, of course, it DIDN’T. Sleeping on the bed was more comfortable, and at this point Kagari was just too lazy to go back to his room. Sharing the bed would work out the BEST, and if Sho was ok with it, then there shouldn’t be an issue, right?

So why did the thought of it make him FEEL differently?

❛  oh,  that  gameboy  ?  that’s  kid  stuff  !  ❜  asuka  laughs,  taking  the  game  system  from  the  guy’s  hands  to  inspect  it  for  a  problem.  from  her  purse  she  procures  a  red  pocket  knife  and  flips  it  open,  using  the  blade  to  twist  the  screw  that  holds  the  gameboy  together.  ❛  watch  this,  ❜  she  says  with  a  grin,  pulling  out  a  plastic  cartridge  from  inside.  she  fiddles  with  it  for  a  moment,  biting  down  on  her  lip  in  concentration  before  her  eyes  brighten  with  excitement  –  there’s  the  problem  !  ❛  you  just  gotta  …  here,  it’s  just  dirty.  ❜  she  wipes  her  sleeve  on  one  of  the  inner  discs  and  then  reassembles  the  gameboy,  handing  it  back  to  the  man.  ❛  it  should  work  now  !  ❜

KAGARI RAISES HIS eyebrows, unimpressed. Did she REALLY think he wouldn't have tried that already? He reaches out, taking it back, finger pressing the power button once more. ❛ Thanks,  ❜ he pauses, honestly hoping that he's wrong; he'd rather look stupid than have to replace it, but the screen remains black. 

Another loud sigh escapes him,  ❛ but as you can see, that's not the issue.  ❜ Defeated, his head drops, settling  into one of his hands.  ❛ I'm pretty sure it got wet. Unless you know some kind of trick for that, I'll just have to get a new one. ❜
