SIC Ambassador @casirynkowski started Paddle for Recovery three years ago when 5 of her friends were diagnosed with cancer. The road to recovery is a challenging one, and after seeing the struggle with her friends she knew she wanted to do something. That's why she started Paddle for Recovery, free paddleboard lessons for cancer survivors and their caregivers. What started as a one woman mission has now grown into a team of three - Michelle Currier, Anne MacCracken, and Casi - offering lessons across 10 states and taking over 460 cancer survivors and caregivers out on the water. SIC athletes @stensup68 and Taka Ishii completed the ultra challenging non-stop @sup11citytour over the weekend, with Hasan Ismail providing ground support the whole 205km route. The non-stop version of the SUP 11 City Tour follows the same route as the five-day race (kicking off on September 11th) but is condensed into one weekend of paddling - day and night. Safe to say it is one grueling endeavor, but also an incredible rewarding one. Congratulations to Carsten and Taka on their epic performances! Time for some R&R.
