This is the same with every annoying trendy video (title) format on youtube. There's one really good video with a new and intriguing title, and then there's a few copy videos which follow the format and are just pretty good, and then suddenly every third video you see on your feed as your format, and by that point you know its become a sign that the video probably isnt very good

In a couple episodes of Small Wonder (my fav show), the boy tries using his robot sister to win at sports before learning his lesson by the end

And you'd think that'd translate into a general anti-cheating moral, but the way it was presented and his father's speech at the end focus specifically on it being unfair for a robot kid to complete against human kids

A lot of my favourite media isn't morally bankrupt so much as it is morally incomprehensible. It studiously adheres to the forms of media that has a moral message it wants to convey, but exactly what that message is, or to whom and under what circumstances it could conceivably apply? Now there's the trick.
