I think everyone needs to start posting about how many people have been coming out in solidarity with trans people everywhere in the US especially in vulnerable states, because I’m really touched by what happened at the University of Iowa. These kids shut it down because it’s not just a youtube bigot on their campus it’s so much bigger than that! This is huge

Boost and help

New post. I finally have solid numbers.

Div is home. She's on 4 different meds, prescription renal food, plus fluids under the skin every other day. The vet said she could live happy n comfortable for up to a couple months longer if i keep up with all this. Now I have to pay off her vet bills. After taking out the donations I have already gotten from some very kind people, I am still looking at $2,535 I need to pay off. That's not including any additional meds, fluids and prescription food she will need after we go thru what the vet gave us to take home.

Here she is in her little bed with her favorite blanket and my sweater ontop.

Anything helps, truly. I spent my savings meant for top surgery on her initial bills already. The reblog will have links attached. Thank you for reading.

Gotta love how folklore everywhere basically tells us vampires don't have, sex and can't enjoy it... Yet the human brain takes a holiday on that, and the fact they're UNDEAD.

Original Works and the TV/Movie Industry today: "The Misguided Diversity" scheme.

So:

Rewriting a premade character entirely to fit into a misguided attempt at making diversity happen is NOT good, for anybody and least of all the minorities involved.

It only promotes the lazyness and mindlessness of those who do it, along with their lack of respect for original works, and the people they pretend to "give visibility" to; by using a cope out to their brainless-ness as a valid option for "diversity".

People let it happen though and while they will, all those "producers" will tell themselves is, "Who cares, it works, let's rack in some more cash! Right?"

Have you noticed how most of these cases happen to characters and franchises whose Authors are either dead and can no longer defend their original works, or have given up the rights to do so?

Those rotten practices should be boycotted, not praised.

Make them write NEW, proper, ethnically correct and deep characters. Make them work for it, the right way; instead of letting them plaster a new 'color' on a face they have stolen from somebody else!

You don't like your art traced? You don't like seeing a painting defaced by someone who thought they could paint the subject better? Then you SHOULD hate this.

And so should the people whose hue is painted onto them instead! Including the actors. It's disgusting to be treated with such disrespect... To not even be seen as worth something fresh, something new and exciting?

The only reason Producers/ect do this is because THEY KNOW THEY ARE GETTING AWAY WITH IT. Do not, let them.

Whether you're a Writer, a Fan, or someone they thought was worth only enough to be a runny coat of paint on a stolen character, you should want to fight it.

I know I will.

And I will also be forever grateful for every beautiful soul at the birth of initiatives like The Dragon Prince, who have chosen to be actual creators and have proven you can -fucking thrive- doing it, while making people feel happy, seen, validated, and -valued-.
