I woke up feeling a heavy weight in my chest again.

That morning after we talked and after i sent you my last message, it felt lighter. It's like i've let go of something i've been carrying for days. I think it helped that you spoke up and gave clarity to the questions in my head. Thank you.

I don't feel the weight so much in the mornings or when i'm at work, but whenever the sun goes down and i'm alone in the apartment, your absence screams. I can't stop missing you. I'm constantly picking at the creases in my brain for the memory of the sound of your laugh because i don't wanna forget it yet.

I know it will eventually lift up and things will get better, but it had just been two days of silence after a series of silences in the past two months and remnants of what had been lost still lingers.
