My posts appear to no longer be showing up in searches at all, as of 11pm 9/5/25. (Let me know if you are somehow seeing otherwise)

I had started to wonder if I somehow might have been, because my posts have been getting about a quarter of the traffic/notes I expected over the last week or two - and a tenth for some specific posts that previously would have spread very rapidly). And, obviously, because tumblr likes shadowbanning and nuking trans people (esp trans femmes, but they def do it to trans mascs too. ...clearly.)

Was already kind of thinking about switching primarily to Substack over Tumblr being increasingly dead, increasingly and very majority white, and the massive transphobic and racist purges of trans and Black users.

So, tbh, that might happen more quickly and substantially than I expected.

Kind of feels like a pretty giant slap in the face, esp in the context of politics and the US right now!!!

I really do want to keep helping and supporting people on here. I want to find a way to do that. And also, I am dealing with a lot irl right now, and I very much only have so much capacity, so something - posting frequency, format, length, whatever - may have to change significantly.

Also also, people on Substack can ask for voluntary subscriptions (I will NEVER paywall my blog/this activism), and as a person who is pretty substantially disabled these days, I could kinda use that option!!
