Watching a Moonlit Night: Part 4
Kokushibou x Reader; Tsugikuni Michikatsu x Reader
Summary: “I think the moon is just as breathtaking as the sun. Different, to be sure, but equally significant. The sky would be incomplete without it.”
Reader details: In your past life, you were a Japanese man; in the present lifetime, your character is gender neutral and your ethnicity is undefined.
Notes: 5K words. Consensual, non-graphic sex in the first scene (you can skip it if you wish—it starts after the “read more”). Lots of domestic fluff but warnings for Stockholm syndrome and sexual assault mentions. Shoutout to @signaria-ai and @amereirin to whom this chapter is dedicated. Thank you for listening to my non-stop rambling about this fic!
You are a strange fixture in Kokushibou’s life.
For so long, he has been alone besides the occasional servant. Demons, after all, neither seek nor desire the company of others. But every time he comes home, you are there in between his sheets, there to smile at him and ask if he would like his laundry done or a bath prepared or to simply go to bed.
“I’ll join you,” he says each time, and you beam, eager to have him beside you for the rest of your sleeping hours. He slips under the sheets, lies there with your body tucked safely into his arms.
For so long, he has spent his resting days in solitude, study, and training. But now, he often enjoys his afternoons lazing together with you in bed, hiding away in darkness, the skin of your back pressed against his chest. It is a foreign feeling, almost as warm as his memories of sunlight, and he is glad you request it every time you see him.
“Kiss me too,” you always demand, rolling over so that you can smile fondly at him. Kokushibou doesn’t quite understand your strange fixation on the act, but he readily indulges you, his lips hot and languid across yours.
On the rare morning when he returns and catches you out of bed, already starting on your chores, the two of you often don’t even make it to his room before your arms are around his neck and his tongue is tasting your shallow breath. He must admit that he almost feels human again in these moments, especially with how you talk to him.
“You were away for too long,” you complain, as if he were a samurai returning from a long campaign, or a slayer coming back from a mission without you. “You better make up for it, somehow.”
His fingers trace your jawline.
“And how would you have me make up for it?“
You hum. "You can go into town with me; you can take a bath with me; you can help me clean—”
Him? Him, Upper Moon One, help a human clean?
…yes, he would help you clean.
“—or you can start by…”
You pull him toward you again, and his lips are too occupied to speak.
One day, when your mouth is moaning into his and his hands wandering your body and your back is pressed against the floor, you ask if he’d like to have you. It is your first time requesting this since that night he took you in his bed, and it has been so long that he thinks he will go mad if he does not have you. The scent of your need does not help either, so obvious and fragrant and telling of your desire.
I just want non-black Latinos and Asians to examine why you assume Black Americans don’t care about your issues, don’t have your back just as much as you should have theirs, and why you have to phrase like “I know BLM stuff is going on right now but you need to pay attention to this too” like BLM is hogging the attention. It is not a small thing, it is insidious, it reflects racism you’re not dealing with inside.
I can NOT stop thinking about how, for Untamed!Lan Wangji, the whole "what is right, what is wrong?" speech was rhetorical, he meant he believed Wei Wuxian was in the right, and meanwhile Novel!Lan Wangji was just like
