Ben delicately takes her hand in his own, gingerly shifting the homemade bandage to get a glimpse at the wound. He noted its size and depth with a practiced eye, a soft hum escaping him as he carefully released her hand.
"I can certainly get you patched up," he replies with a reassuring smile. "Let's get you back in the exam room so I can stitch that up for you."
cordelia does stick her hand out, albeit delicately, not wanting to jostle the wound anymore than she had — and out of ben's aptly noted frustration with herself. " can you fix it? " it's a direct question, implored with a pleading expression, rather than her usual aimless musings. she needs to be out on the water later today, and she can't with her hand in the state it's in now.

Ben took hold of Taeng's arm, guiding her carefully toward the nearest cot. As they walked, he made a mental note of her symptoms. Once they reached the cot, he helped her sit down before responding with a mixture of concern and professionalism.
"It sounds like you've got quite a few symptoms going on here," he said, a thoughtful expression as he looked her over. "Dizziness, hot flashes… And you said it all hit you suddenly after spending the day in the square?"
"Oh, thank you!" Taeng declared gratefully, apparently not too ill to project her voice as if in a play. She leaned into Ben, so she could make it to the cots, suddenly mumbling, "Is the room spinning, or is it just me?" She was convinced that everything had gone blurry, but she persevered to answer his question: "Well, I am excruciatingly dizzy. I spent all day in the square, chatting and enjoying the weather, when all of a sudden I stood up and could hardly maintain my balance! Not to mention the hot flashes..."

Ben couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at Danica's comment, but he quickly put aside his amusement to focus on her current state. As she stumbled into the counter, he caught her by the arm to steady her. "You're not going to die, Danica," he reassured her, his voice firm but gentle. "But I do need you to sit down before you hurt yourself more," he said as he began leading her towards the observation room.
"that is not going to strong enough," danica stated as if she also went to medical school and practiced medicine for a living. she did not. regardless, she did her best to walk over to where the doctor was pointing. with her bleary vision, she stumbled into the counter and she curled over in pain. "good yoba, i'm going to die."

Ben looked at the makeshift bandage on Cordelia's palm with a mix of concern and empathy. He could tell that she was frustrated and embarrassed about whatever happened, and he didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable. "Let me take a look at it," he said quietly, keeping his tone calm and soothing. He moved out from behind the counter, a hand extended in her direction allowing her to place her hand in his palm so that he could examine it more closely.
it had been her own fault for being distracted, not that cordelia could blame herself for her mind being elsewhere with all the recentdramaticsin her life. still: she feels a little embarrassed about the long cut on her palm, an accident with a boning knife. she holds it up with its makeshift bandage, frustrated tears still just dried on her cheeks. " i hurt my hand, " she explains plainly, quietly, feeling not dissimilar from all the times she'd come here as a child, overdramatic about a skinned knee.

Ben's brow furrowed in concern as Taeng stumbled into the clinic, obviously unwell and struggling to maintain her balance. "Whoa, easy there," he said, quickly rushing to her side to help stabilize her.
"Here, let's get you over to one of the beds," he suggested, a hint of concern in his voice as he began to lead her towards the back of the clinic. "Can you tell me what kind of symptoms are you experiencing?"
"Oh, thank goodness you're here," Taeng groaned out as she stumbled into the clinic. She could barely stand on two feet, and she had to tumble into the counter with a jolt! just to catch her balance. "I feel terribly ill, I don't know what's wrong with me, but I need medical assistance immediately." Her eyes rolled into the back of her head.

Ben watches as Seline looks around the clinic, her demeanor betraying her panicked state. He takes a moment to collect himself before responding, setting the medical journal to the side as he focuses his full attention on her. "Well, I'm certainly not going to let you drop dead on my watch," he says, a reassuring smile on his face. "Come closer, let me get a look at you," he instructs, his hand gesturing her over towards the counter. "What are your symptoms? What makes you believe you're in such danger?"
Seline blinks, immediately calmed by Ben's tone, and crosses her arms in a manner she hopes is more please help me I'm dying and less fix it right now. She leans to one side, trying for an air of casualness, as she says in a mildly panicked tone: "I'm fairly certain I am dying, I was wondering what we might be able to do." She looks around the clinic awkwardly. "About the dying thing."

Ben's eyes softened with concern as he observed Danica leaning against the counter. It was clear that she must have had a rough night by the way she was holding herself. "How about we start with some aspirin and an electrolyte drink," he suggests as he waves her towards the back of the clinic. "See how that works before we consider a sedative."
after a particularly long night at the saloon, danica had woken up feeling worse than usual. she was used to her heavy nights of drinking, but this particular morning was brutal. she let out a loud and prolonged sigh as she leaned against the counter. "i feel like the world is splitting in two. do you have any sedatives?" she asked in a low whisper as she hid her bloodshot eyes behind her designer sunglasses.

Ben sat at the front desk of the clinic, his eyes scanning over the medical journal in his hands. The clinic was quiet today, a stark contrast to the bustling New York hospital he used to work in. He appreciated the slower pace, though sometimes the silence felt heavy.
He glanced up as the door chimed, signaling a visitor. Setting the journal aside, he offered a warm smile to the person entering.
"Good morning! How can I help you today?" he asked, standing up to greet them. His voice was gentle, carrying the calm reassurance of someone who had spent years soothing worried patients.
