Vander ripped out his eye and broke his cheek and we're supposed to “aaaaaww 🥹” At them in the AU? Because Silco forgave him? It’s cute that Silco forgave this? Wholesome old men in love after one of them tried to murder the other and permanently disfigured and disabled him?

I ship these two idiots even post-Incident™️, I love a good toxic fictional romance where there’s violence and pain and people being worse after. I’m completely against dismissing intimate partner violence in favor of just making them happy again, something S2 does with literally every relationship it has. Whether they want it to or not, the narrative glossing over this means the writers don’t care whether there’s abuse present in a relationship and they don’t think violent abuse should have consequences. Season 1 goes hard and heavy on every action and decision having consequences, while season 2 grants immunity to both responsibility and culpability to every character. Everything's fine just forgive :) You can fix anything by forgive :) It's your fault if you don't forgive :)

You know what kills me? Silco was right, in a way.

At the tea party he says he would never give Jinx up to the enforcers (and we know that's true) and that after a day with Jinx, Vi would realise she's not the same girl she was before and abandon her again.

And he's right, she does. She abandons Jinx and leads the enforcers to her as soon as she realises how different Jinx is.

Now that's not to say it wasn't at least partly justified. If my sister was a mass murderer and I saw her explode my girlfriend's mam, I don't think I'd stick around. Cops still suck but, y'know.

It just kills me how truthful Silco's words are.
