Baby Banana

This scene makes me think of Baby Banana every time. I wonder if Yoshida got inspired to draw Baby Banana after writing that scene. And no, as you’ll see below, toddler Eiji wasn’t smacking baby Ash around at all.  

Scans are by @ash-callenreese​ from the Yoshida Akimi Book (吉田秋生本). As far as I could understand from what was written in it, Baby Banana illustrations were printed on items that were given as magazine supplements or prizes. The Official Guidebook - Rebirth lists some of these items like mugs or telephone cards in the Goods & Art Collection section. And I know that there’s even a Baby Banana hand towel and a super rare baby Ash plush!
