Study date - Kuroo Tetsuro

The teacher is mumbling, reading the next page of the textbook your eyes were supposed to be on, but something else had caught your attention, that something was Kuroo Tetsuro. You'll admit you've been slightly infatuated with the bedhead male lately, your friends constantly remind you that its a "crush" not a "infatuation" but honestly, you don't see it as a crush, you like him sure but... not as a crush, right?

The male glances your way and you both make eye contact, you quickly look away down to your textbook, unbeknownst to you he's smirking that stupid smirk of his. That stupidly adorable smirk of his. Also unknown to you he fancies you himself, always has, you've just constantly either had your head buried in books or you're hanging out with your friends, he can never catch a moment alone with you. A moment he so desperately yearns for, because he feels like if he doesn't tell you the way he feels towards you soon he might just pop.

"There's a topic test coming up, its worth about 15% of your overall grade so study hard, dismissed." The teachers words broke through both of your trains of thoughts, hearing them made a lightbulb go off in Kuroo's head, he stands up and walk over to your desk, "Hey y/n!" "Oh, uh, hi Kuroo. Did you need something?" "I was wondering if you'd like too... study, together?" He looked so calm but honestly internally he was shaking with anxiety, "Oh, I'd love too!" You said trying not to sound too eager, Kuroo's face lit up and he flashes you a grin, "Ok! The café, down the road, after school!!" He walks back over to his desk and grabs his stuff, you leave the classroom saying "It's a date." Something your head did not compute before letting it slip from your lips, this left you both flustered and you ended up just running off to your next class.

The rest of the day couldn't have gone any slower, so when that final bell rang you practically raced out of the classroom. You put your stuff away and took whatever you needed to study, as you closed your locker a small note slipped out and fell onto your shoes, the note read 'I like you Kitten.', your face flushed red as you stuffed the tiny note into your pocket and left the school, making your way to the café.

Once you entered you immediately saw Kuroo and joined him in the booth, "So, um, chemistry?" "Yeah.", you both pull out your textbooks and your workbooks, as Kuroo finds a clean page you notice the hand writing looks ever so slightly familiar and fiddle for the note, you couldn't see if they matched from where you were seated so you'd have to wait. Later on you both trade notes, Kuroo hands you his book and you quickly match up the writing, they were the same.

You couldn't tell if the note was a joke or if it was... real. You scribble a tiny message in the corner of a page in his book and hand the book back, being how sharp-sighted he is he noticed your small handwriting, all you did was write 'Kitten.' and as soon as Kuroo saw that his eyes went wide, he places his book down, too embarrassed to make eye-contact, "I'm guessing you got my note..." he coughs, "Yeah.. um, is it, real?" You ask curiously, he hesitates then nods, your cheeks flush, "K-Kuroo....I, I like y-you too." you avert your eyes as you can feel your face progressively heating up.

"Really?" Kuroo sounds slightly shocked, you slightly nod your head, still looking away. After a few seconds you cant help but look towards him, "....Do you think... we could- uh, we could... go out... like.. this weekend?" Kuroo's anxiety slips into his voice, because goddamn he really, really likes you. "Y-yeah of course... when?" You begin to curse at yourself internally because you have this feeling you probably look like Bob the Tomato (VeggieTales anyone?).

"Uh, Saturday? 2pm?" he's starting to sound slightly more confident in himself, "That sounds perfect." You give him a smile, it reassures him. "Great." he reciprocates your gentle smile, "Chemistry?" you ask, motioning to the books splayed across the table in front of you both, "Oh, yeah, haha." there's still a wide smile on his face as his eyes grace over the sentences in the text book, you can't help but smile to yourself as well.

the game itself has a good bit of colonialist themes and indigenous erasure, which means it's up to fans to educate themselves and be mindful of what things they internalise. this isn't a call out or guilt trip, i'm just asking people to be aware of the context behind the media they consume.
