     What thoughts dared cross a ghost? T'was chance that silk did not whisk the sentinel onwards, chance the trained eye of the warrior latched onto the swift yet precise movements from their corners. The act, it had her head turning to bear witness to a sight most unexpected.

     So it could speak.

     Their meeting above had been short, to the point in the most literal of terms. No word of parting had been left upon the finale of their clash in Greenpath, and here, beneath the eternal rain and the stone gaze of their birth-cursed sibling, had what she'd come to share been said. Little else to offer, and little else to add for the time was not yet right. The encounter was destined to end with nothing more, the steps taken to make her leave, with not but riddle after riddle in her wake. Except, heh, it seemed her sibling held no fondness for riddles.

    " The path before you is a lonely one, little ghost. Fraught with those that would strike you down without thought, each more dangerous than the last. This kingdom reserves no mercy for the weak. " Not unlike their brethren, scattered. Victims of the cruelty of a decaying land.
