Q. What kind of person was the original Sung Hyunje?
It would be similar to if you take Sigma, put in about one-hundredth of Sung Hyunje's knowledge and experience, add a few spoonfuls of early Crescent Moon, and then rewind him back to a time before he experienced a desperate and hopeless situation that one could no nothing about regardless of hard work or effort.
His ego was still firm, but he was more gentle and innocent* than at the current point in time ^^
Note: So this one gave me some trouble, because I was getting interesting variations from different translators, and when breaking the sentence, so I went full analysis mode on this.
*์ํ๋ค is the word getting translated as "gentle and innocent", but some more explanation on that is as follows:
As per the Korean-English dictionary, ์ํ๋ค when referring to someone's personality means meek; mild; docile; gentle. Examples: Both brothers have gentle personalities, so they have never fought with each other; The child is so gentle and doesn't even care about strangers; The baby doesn't cry or whine easily, and he's quite gentle
AI language module broke it down as follows: A "์ํ๋ค" (sunhada) personality in Korean describes someone who is mild, gentle, docile, and not aggressive or fussy. Here's a breakdown of what it typically implies:
Gentle and Kind: The core meaning relates to being soft, kind, and good-natured in temperament and attitude.
Docile/Meek: It suggests someone who is easy to handle, not rebellious, and tends to follow rules or instructions without much fuss. They are not prone to stubbornness or being difficult.
Calm and Easy-going: They generally have a calm demeanor and are not easily agitated or aggressive. Their personality is smooth.
Not Wild or Rough: It implies a lack of harshness or intensity in their character.
While "์ํ๋ค" often has positive connotations of being pleasant and easy to get along with, it's worth noting that in some contexts, it might also carry a subtle nuance of being too docile or perhaps a bit naive, especially when contrasted with someone who is more assertive or strong-willed. However, in most everyday usage, it's a positive descriptor for a gentle and agreeable person.
Someone with a "์ํ๋ค" personality would be:
A quiet, well-behaved child.
A pet that is calm and doesn't cause trouble.
Someone who is easy to reason with and doesn't get into arguments.
Honest question time: Is anyone else a little stunned? I was a bit stunned.

Q. If Han Yoojin becomes a transcendent, wouldn't the theme of "My S-Class" change?
The possibility of Han Yoojin becoming a transcendent isn't something that he can achieve through his own power. To be precise, it's because he's the nurturer of transcendent-level beings, including Han Gyeol and Han Yoobin.
In case of good parent-child relationships, children usually wish for their parents to live long and healthy lives. The problem is that Han Yoojin's children can go beyond just wishing and make those wishes a reality. Han Gyeol can actually make fantasies come true, and Han Yoobin is a Source that can easily grant immortality to someone, or turn them into a transcendent. As the two grow up and Han Yoojin ages, the children will naturally want their dad to continue living with them.
So, since Han Yoojin decided to raise Han Gyeol, and especially Han Yoobin, the issue of lifespan is bound to come up eventually. In addition to these two, there are many others around Han Yoojin who will grow into beings capable of easily extending his lifespan. So it won't be easy for Han Yoojin to maintain his own will in that situation.
Han Yoojin will have to pick a side or find another solution.
If one decides to raise children who are completely different from them, they'll continue to clash with them in the future and keep trying to understand each other and resolve these conflicts and differences, even beyond the matter of lifespan. Still, there might be areas where one absolutely cannot back down.
As I wrote before, if there is a side story, it will be mentioned, but it will likely not be explained in detail since it's a matter of the distant future. Han Yoojin can live as long as he wants, but conversely, living a normal and ordinary life will be difficult. It's a problem he needs to contemplate and prepare for starting now, while his children are still young.
However, in the end, he will not be unconditionally dragged along simply being led by what the precious people around him want, but will be able to look back at himself and make decisions according to his own will. ^^
Note: This is long and a doozy of an answer. Also clearly a follow-up to this previous Q&A.
I don't think any of this actually ends up coming in play in the side stories so far (maybe that means author-nim is not actually done yet, and maybe we'll get more in the future with a platform change or something?)
Note: these are mtl-based amateur translations of geunseo's q&a from after they finished the main novel in 2022. Original Korean under the Read More for reference. Please do correct if you find an error.

Sung Hyunjae & Self. God, Human.

i find it very interesting that sung hyunjae has such a strong Self - something that is shown even in the beginning with small details like how picky he can be with most things (to the point of seeming fussy despite his composed image). a dichotomy for someone who has been denied autonomy of existence- denied a Self- in the first place.
with all of his hundreds of overlapping existences, he still retained the identity of "sung hyunjae, seseong guild leader"- even at the point he lost his memories, even when he was being reset at a cosmic level- he desperately clung to retain his sense of self.
the ego is so important to his character, despite- in spite of the crescent moon's plans of taking it away altogether. she made the contract with that purpose in the first place. but it is a bit cruel and ironic that the end goal was to strip him of his ego and make him into a perfect being to replace the Source, but in the process she gave him such a strong existence, persistent identity, a stubborn sense of Self.
as all things do, this brought me to hyunjae & yoojin.
we see it first with sigma- when yoojin acknowledged his existence and freed him from the dungeon- hence creating a separate entity with his own unique existence.
it is yoojin, who sees sung hyunjae as a human first underneath all of his semi-godlike glory. who finds the fact that he can't open a convenience store kimbap endearing. who acknowledges every sung hyunjae to have ever existed in all of his lifetimes as not just sung hyunjae of the first world or sung hyunjae of the second world- but as a real, unique person.
sung hyunjae of the world with many lakes. sung hyunjae of the world with two suns. sung hyunjae who likes to knit and has a complex about his baby face. sung hyunjae who picks the crust off of his bread, who likes to keep an odd assortment of trinkets in his inventory. sung hyunjae who enjoys fishing, who eats his shrimp tails, who likes to cook for people.
sung hyunjae- who, despite going through every day in the excruciatingly painful boredom of a repeated existence, still loves people and their mundane lives, still cares for children, still looks after people who depend on him, still still still. it is all sung hyunjae.
yes, he has clear parallels to crescent moon- he was molded after her image of a perfect Source, after all. it would seem that like her, he can care for everyone equally and just that, no more and no less. a suffocating, helpless experience for the recipient. he's so much like her, so no wonder he was the one chosen by her.
but in reality he became so much more than that. a unique existence as the little moon- but quite unlike the crescent moon.
sung hyunjae is capable of anger, of loss, of sympathy, and of frustration- a myriad of conflicting human emotions.
he has a wish to stay for every birthday, a wish to stay for every funeral.
and in the process of turning him into a God, he was made more human than ever.

#if you saw this on twitter a year ago that was me#this is remasteredโข๏ธ and a better place to archive compared to that timebomb website#the voices in my head#finally put a fraction of my feeling about him in text#now back to our usual i will put him in a blender routine#sung hyunjae#han yoojin#hjyj#s classes that i raised#sctir

SPOILERS FOR SCTIR FOR +CH 200
CW: (possibly) Eating disorder ED, depression
Something that keeps me awake at night: at the beggining of the story, Yoohyun's death isn't so painful for the viewers, because we only see what is on the surface of the Han brothers' life. It's through memories and flashbacks that we get to learn 3 facts: Yoojin dedicated his entire life to Yoohyun, they parted ways and in the end they reunited, only for one of them die. That's the introduction of SCTIR for us. Moreover, Yoojin is desesperate to leave the past behind, so he doesn't linger on his traumatic memories for too long, hence why the pain of reading SCTIR isn't instant.
It is gradual.
Yoojin and we learn that the past was never erased. It still happened, and exists in the form of Yoohyun's body out in the cold. Gradually, it becomes more apparent how Yoojin is still so affected by his previous life, despite his fear resistance skill. It starts with small things like him avoiding eating unless someone tells him to do so, always occupying himself with tasks that could be handled by someone else, negative thoughts about himself for every single action he takes and so on. I love, with all my heart, the manhwa, but the novel makes it so much more apparent how Yoojin loathes himself, to the point he keeps wishing he wasn't a human being, rather an item for his brother to use. It's so messed up to want to abandon all your humanity, feelings and concept of self just so you can be of help.
SCTIR is fun to read, but even more so with the unreliable narrator that is Yoojin. He sees what he does as nothing impressive, considering the people he is surrounded with, despite running the kisengsu facility, negotiating with the hair loss company to develop a new product, managing Seok Hayan's research team, mantaining diplomatic ties with Japan, training and helping other hunters and, most importantly, caring for all the S classes. He worries for their well-being because it's only natural for him to do so, as the Perfect Caregiver.
And, in the middle of it all, the only thing Yoojin spares for himself is hate. He doesn't want to live long for himself, but rather for Yoohyun, even though Yoojin already has been through the pain of loss. When Yoojin died in chapter 241, the first thing that he thought was Yoohyun. He didn't even think about how much it hurted dying (with a freaking shot on the head)! He just wanted to reunite and soothe Yoohyun that he was okay.
Speaking of which, in Sigma's arc, as Yoojin was alone, he really stopped caring for his well-being, so Sung Hyunjae took that role and did everything he could to help Yoojin. But, for him to even have to create a quest just so Yoojin could eat is what sparked my lizard brain to write this post.
My point is, there isn't an arc dedicated for recovery (at least until the chapter I have read that is like, ~300) and that is beautiful, because Yoojin is still processing what he went through, and we get to see that. Yoojin has such an interesting character arc as he begins wanting to forget the past, as it is too painful, to start running after it. He can't let go of it, because letting it go means letting his little brother go too. Which is why he says he will never be okay again in chapter 278.
