A portrait of Daniil aka the Bachelor from Pathologic series in an expressive style.

I recently played the demo for Pathologic 3 Quarantine, and although I never completed the 2nd one, these games fascinates me in the most morbid curiosity of how it was made and its inspirations. Mixing theatre with esoteric setting and the medical field. A true play in the theater of pain.

At first glance, the gameplay of the demo looks more streamlined by focusing only on two stats: Apathy and Mania. The scale of your seesaw ever so going down making you more nihilist, depressed and walk slow while becoming manic makes you faster and progressively losing health. Also, I love the medical diagnosis gameplay they included. It is the sort of deductive mechanic that I wish the game Vampyr had to make your protagonist more grounded in their profession and the world.

I'll probably return to the second game soon and enjoy the suffering.
