I also shared this on X, but this is a manga version of The Tale of Genji by Murasaki Shikibu, redone by Fujio Akatsuka with Iyami as the main character! The young Iyami drawn here is just so adorable, right?

This one isn’t related to The Tale of Genji — it’s Iyami’s “résumé” (personal history)!

When he was 0, he would pee whenever his mom tried to give him a bath, and she’d be like, “He did it again…” and be troubled.

At age 3, he finally grew all his front teeth for the first time.

At age 30, he received French bread from a beggar born in France, was deeply moved, and started to admire France.
