i love heiji hattori did you know. i actually don't think i've liked a character for as long as i've liked heiji which makes him my favouritest boy

My favorite soft recon in Fate is "The Throne of Heroes automatically gives Servants knowledge about the present time" because it was a throwaway line so they would know how to speak Japanese as well as not get frightened or confused by modern technology every time they encounter a lamp post, but Type-Moon quickly realized "servants are basically ancient people getting summoned into the future" was a goldmine for comedy scenes and made it so that while they know things, they don't know everything.

This has led to scenes like Saber in Fate/Samurai Remnant not knowing what paper was, or Kagetora in FGO getting jumpscared by toilet bidets, which both act as callbacks to their identity (Saber is so old paper wasn't invented yet / Uesugi Kenshin died on the toilet) and are also extremely funny
