Fics about Cleo and Pearl during DL scratch the exact same itch to me as fics about Jon and Tim in TMA season 3. Like yes please have to comfort your old friend who you hate now. Please have to deal with the burden of all the things you used to love about this person being soured but still being in a position where you need/want them alive. Don’t admit to yourself that it still hurts to see them upset even if part of the reason is something you yourself did that you feel is completely justified. Remember all the memories of good times and kill those memories, violent and all too eager. Listen to them cry and feel it curdle in the acid of your newfound hatred. Think all at once about why you loved them and why you can’t again (you could, you do, you still do and always will that’s what sucks the most).

I wish more people would appreciate zombiewood from seasons other than Double Life cause some of my favourite zombiewood moments aren’t even from Double Life

- Martyn not knowing his way to the fairy fort and Cleo taking him there. I don’t remember seeing this in either of their POVs but I remember distinctly seeing it in Scotts. I think. I SWEAR IT HAPPENED. (Last Life)

- “Just so you know, when you die, you’re going to deserve it” Cleo absolutely ROASTING Martyn after Grian kills Scar and Martyn scares them all with the creeper noise AGAIN (Third Life)

- Martyn apologising for not giving Cleo enough attention and Cleo telling him it’s okay (Wild Life)
