Help me! I am playing around with something for the first time in a while. I got a new computer a few months back and I had to redownload everything and I can't remember all the Blender settings! This semi-transparent thing where I can see some faces through other faces is driving me crazy. How do I turn it off?

Life Update

Hey y'all! I miss you! I have been finally playing Sims for the first time in a loooong time lately so there's the possibility of more CC at some point in the future. But also I'm still working full time and in school part to full time depending on the semester... and in the fall I start grad school! I'm gonna be a teacher!!! I'm so excited. I currently work as a TA so I know for sure I want to work in education.

You can definitely make the request. but I can't guarantee I'll make it! I just finished my semester and I have a break for a month so it's more likely I'll do it now than I would another time.

Override Infant Rugs

I am about ten minutes into playing with infants in Sims 4 and already irritated that you can't change the default rug swatch they get put down on. So here's an override! Not sure if anyone has done this or not, but I couldn't find one. Just all the swatches that came with the matching rug that you can't use for some reason. 

Pick ONE swatch and put it in your mods folder. You can't have more than one at once, since it is an override! There are 11 swatches, numbered in the pic below the cut.

Let me know if there are issues-- this was tested, but it's been a while since I've made cc!

"Poorly Decorated" Moodlet Remover/Environment Fixer

Hello hello! I recently spent a long time building a giant house and when I finally started to play, in certain parts of the house my Sims kept getting "poorly decorated" uncomfortable moodlets. I couldn't for the life of me figure out what was causing it, so I just made this!

There is a floor version (under Rugs) and a wall version (under Paintings & Posters). They have one visible swatch for placing and then one invisible swatch for once they're placed. The visible swatch for the floor one is the turtle pool decoration and for the wall one it's the kids' tree decal.

Let me know if there are any issues-- I had a lot of trouble replicating the issue in testing for some reason but it worked in removing the moodlets on this lot at least.

Has anyone made a recolor with a bunch of solid swatches of this tank from Seasons? I could have sworn I had one but can't find it in my game or online

Help I was casually browsing and accumulating simlish designs for a layered graphic tee thing I’m making and suddenly I have 80 designs and I like them all but I want to lay down and sleep forever at the thought of 80 swatches

So I've been working on a set of Hogwarts uniforms, for kids and teens, of different variations (sweaters, vests, just shirt and tie, robes, etc) for months. But I keep getting so stuck at the tie + boobs combo. Nothing would work. I was so excited to see this top in High School Years because it would give me a base to work with and I could get the set going again. But apparently the problems that made me go "yeah I can't produce that and be ok with it" (changing width/distorting pattern with boob size, attaching to the body instead of falling straight down) did not stop EA from putting it in a pack. That is just not how ties work. And it bothers me so much.

That said, would y'all rather have Hogwarts uniforms knowing that the female frame shirt with tie would do this, or would it be a deal breaker for you? Might still be a deal breaker for me

So some of these are pre-IL and some are post... but just look at all these beautiful waterside lots that could just scooooch over a bit into the water.

With all these forest/lake worlds that have come out since Island Living you’d think we could have just one lot that goes over the water like some of the Sulani lots… I just want a big lake house with a forest in the back and a dock over the lake (or ocean, I’m not picky) in a non-tropical climate is that too much to ask

General PSA that if you’ve sent me an ask about updating/posting a new link to/anything else about cc, generally if I haven’t answered it it’s because I’m using my inbox as a to-do list! I hadn’t opened Photoshop or Blender or Sims 4 Studio or even the game in a very long time, but now I’m on summer break from work and I’m getting into it again! I hope to get to all your questions, with the exception of any about my invisible crib mod— that was broken many patches ago and I’m not inclined to fix it because there are now other ones out there that do what I wanted it to do (ie not be totally invisible so it could be moved) and I don’t feel like frustrating myself to fix a problem that doesn’t need fixing. But if your ask wasn’t about the invisible crib mod, I will hopefully get to it soon!

De-Trellised Cottage Living Gate

Super quick mesh edit of the stone gate that came with Cottage Living, because the flowers are super cute but don't always fit. Not sure if anyone else made this, but I did some looking and couldn't find it so I just made it.
