I would have forgiven the visual, if there was a good script, and even then I think that the series should have been renamed "New Adventures of Karn", because he has more history than the sisters at whole show...

Random Bestiale Thoughts

I find it really amusing that Tumblr's Ankama fans have collectively agreed that Bestiale's Yrehn (and Nimoda) don't look like adults, and have been giving them redesigns to actually fit their age.

I have to ask why do they do look so young in canon? Coqueline / Mishell is designed to look and act like a child, but she's supposedly the oldest among Oropo's demigods. I can at least somewhat buy her aging is messed up like Yugo's.

Nobody in the Bestaile show ever comments on them being short for Osamodas, so I don't think they're supposed to have dwarfism (that's not so say real life people with dwarfism look like kids, but animation does portray them like that sometimes).

We've seen adult female Osamodas like Simone and Aurora, so it's not like they're all short.

Sorta disagree on both sides is wrong here.

Fandom is categorically lacking condemnation of Yugo in this situation and all the problems going at Amalia. They wasn't in relationships and people thinking that Amalia should belong to Yugo only even if he rejects her lol. Scene with Oropo is still bad from scenario point btw.

People don't think that Yugo can do selfish things and blame purely Amalia to such an extent that they say that the kiss with Oropo is a cheater, although Yugo said that nothing will happen to him and Amalia.In this case, I do not particularly want to play the game of the guilty two, when specifically and definitely the guilty is Yugo in the current situation, and the fandom does not want to admit it. I will move to the level of both are guilty only when we will stop having a misogynistic mindset and gonna analysis both sides and stop blaming the person which feelings was hurt deeply.

It's sad that this fandom has a tendency to say that female characters have improved when it calmed down, regarding Eva and Amalia.

Damn it, give Eva real flaws that she will get punished for from other characters, give her work on her mistakes, give her reflection, stop making her a comic relief and a supporting character who doesn't care what happens to her family and surroundings. I have never seen reflection on her responsibility for her work, for her family, or in general. Even in the Wakfu manga she yells at Ruel that he was not asked and not to take Tristepin's arguments seriously.

Eva is a stupid character, but because the writer does not care about her and her image.

Eva deserved better writting than just left to be a baby factory. I'm pretty sure she feels the same about herself.

I like how the fandom still doesn't realize that Flopin was 6 when he ran away from home.

Just like the show, making Eva look like a fool because she was satisfied with Tristepan's arguments that they weren't much older. Yeah, a measly 10 years, big deal. She was even more worried about her sister.

And apparently there won't be enough time for more Flopin episodes, another long-term stagnation for a character that the author doesn't care about.

To be honest, the Great Wave manga is so poorly written that I don't really understand why it's needed.

Half of the second volume is spent reflecting on the book 2 that never happened, Amalia on the cover is not justified in principle, and Adamai on the poster and spread looks like a joke.

The plot practically doesn't move and these two volumes could have been placed in two regular episodes. The characters are written in a haphazard way, I don't see any interesting features in them, the situation is saved only by Cynthia with her jokes, like a funny face or sleepy Amalia in the queue.

It's not dark, not mature and only drags out time, distracting us from the essence of why Yugo will explode.

As much as I disliked Wakfu Manga 2012, it was more intense than this slow comic that reveals nothing clear and doesn't give any ground for thought.

By the way, the horns of the Osamodas are a purely stylistic thing, nothing more.

at least we have hornless osa in waven...

(Put me off anon idc) I love how big Yhren’s horns are… (compared to most Osamodas) honestly it’s the main indicator for me that she’s an adult. Feels fitting, for that to be an age indicator in some Osamodas.

Yeah, I'm one of those people who does NOT like the Dofus movie.

For me, it's a literal ripoff of the first season of Wakfu with the same characters tropes but literally without any of the likable traits or they just children like Joris and Lilotte where i can't say much about them. If you take out Bakara and Khan, literally NOTHING changes. The jokes are gross and cheesy, and I know it's part of the franchise, but it feels like they're cheesy because they can be.

The animation, design, and soundtrack are all good, but I can't connect with literally any of the characters, considering Tot threw out the entire foundation of the Treasures of Kerubim to rewrite Joris and Kerubim to fit his vision, which I don't particularly like.

The plot may be rushed, that's a fact, but my main problem is the characters that I simply can't like.

The dofus movie is generally overrated. It's not bad, per say, but it's not a masterpiece either. The plot goes by too quickly, Julith is just unlikeable, and most characters are underutilized. Tot's magical touch is felt throughout.

On the topic of Yumalia being a very poorly thought out pairing, I want to throw doodle about how Yumalia's problem was never solved at the core. Yugo was basically just artificially raised so that he and Yumalia would look normal, but the problems of this couple in the topic of semi-divinity, their feelings and problem solving were never revealed.

That's why I don't like Yumalia's wedding yet, the relationship before the wedding is simply not disclosed and the fact that you are long-time friends does not mean that you will be good lovers.
