50 Aspects of the Moon [Yoshitoshi - 月岡 芳年]

Here I offer a clone of the large-sized BG painting canvas, to which I have added 50 out of the 100 "Aspects of the Moon" by my Favorite ukiyo-e artist Yoshitoshi.      

There is a lot of 'background' work that I did on these images... Originally from large-format scans of original prints, I vectorized them all individually, and then made a (rather large) .PDF of them combined. So, in other words, not photographic textures.

Find under Decoration|Wall, by my name 'minimo', or by my icon. Inexpensive at only 50 Simoleons each.

MMore Kakejiku

When I first saw the trailer for Snowy Escape, my first thought was that it was a fan-made trailer, as so many of the items in it seemed as if they were CC to me. The kakejiku were one of the main reasons that I got the pack.

While I could have 'gone wild' with recoloring them, I calmed myself and decided to simply expand upon the same styles & colors that Maxis made. These are cloned from a BG item, so are BGC, and as a 'bonus', for the first time I have included within the archive a .PSD file with the texture separated so you can re-color them easily to your own heart's content...

At the time I made these, I did not have access to any of the terabytes of my reserved Asian art for texturing (I actually still don't have access to all of it...), so I just grabbed a few select images that I thought most matched the aesthetic that Maxis made.

65 swatches in two files, as stated all using the original colors that Maxis did, so you can mix & match if so desired... (A few more releases are on their way using the same crappy screenshots...)

Wall Scrolls from Dreamland by Hu Cong Mi Suan - 呼葱觅蒜

A little over a year ago I became addicted to the new-ish 'Historical' (semi-/fantasy, whatever) C-Dramas that are available on Netflix. My favorite so far is 'Eternal Love' - 三生三世十里桃花. I then came across the paintings from this amazing artist, who specializes in bringing scenes from them to 'canvas'.

I generally find faceless things to be really creepy, but these enchant me so much that I do not even notice the lack of faces, nor do I think that them having set expressive faces would make them any more magical.

I made these a while ago and have had them 'on the back burner' to release. They are cloned from the GP02 wall scroll (GP02 - Spa Day required to use). I am now attempting to make ALL of my CC BGC, and would have done so with these, but just could not bring myself to transfer them to a BG clone with all of the swatches involved. Sincere Apologies for that. Shown above at 1x size on a Tall wall.

118 different images in five files, including the 'short/wide' one shown above. I would like to especially thank @remo-ny for posting many of these for me to use!

Hair & Horns & Hair

Hi. It was an interesting summer for me, as my computer died in early June... I now have a 'computer', of sorts, and this is newly made CC. I have yet to be able to access everything that I made between March when I made a backup for Eco Living and June... Urf.

I am offering two different things here:

1) With JtB, there came 6 new sets of 'Sith' horns, so I took those and copied them to the BG Darth Maul horns and enabled hair to be worn with them. Found under 'Hats', enabled for M/F, T-E, no random, no Situation.

2) I like to have more variety when it comes to hair of any sort on my male Sims, so I made clones of 5 facial hairs and changed their category to 'Skin Details' (cloned from the mouth crease). Four of them are BG, one requires Parenthood. Four of them have all possible swatches, one only has the 'Naturals. Shown above with NonCC beards (then without the ‘underlay’), but they of course work with any CC beards as well.

DIY 'tansu' (BGC Storage & Dressers)

Offering up another piece of my Asian obsession, this time in the form of build-it-yourself Japanese-styled 'tansu'. There are way too many variations on real tansu, so I tried my best to make it so that you could have the style that suits you best. The individual pieces are displayed in the foreground.

How to tell the difference between them? The dresser versions are to be found under Storage | Dressers, and the storage chest versions can be found under Storage | Misc. (seriously not trying to be cheeky there...), however the storage versions are the ones with the extra 'handles' on their faces (the brown set above). Each version comes with 18 swatches, light brown wood, dark brown wood, red 'lacquer' and black 'lacquer' - each with or without the 'striped' wood sides. The storage pieces come in two sizes (in case someone wanted Huge storage/moving crates), the dresser version only in the 'half-size'. (two sizes so that the slotting/stacking behaviour works properly)

Do The Research (2 New Research Computers)

TBH, I am surprised to not have seen any other versions like these... I cloned & tweaked the meshes for two other computers to use for research with Discover University (EP08 required for interaction). For each I enlarged the monitors only, because who really ever looks at a 14" desktop monitor anymore (as they appear to me in-game)? The GtW (EP01) 'Crystal' computer and the Curved-Screen City Living computer. They have their original swatches (3 each) and their respective packs are required for use. I have been using these since EP08 came out, as I am not a fan of the ones included. Of course, as I am writing this, it occurs to me to make a combined tuning for the research interaction for use on any computer, but... eh?

Lemme Meditate On It... (New Meditation Stools)

I wanted some more options for meditation, so I borrowed a couple things from other packs to make some. Spa Day is all that is required to use them. All are portable as the original one is. Included are: a low, curved wooden one (8 swatches), a pair of pillows (18 swatches), and a leather cushion (9 swatches). I promise that the new wall scrolls are ‘coming soon’, as well as the new incense burners. As with all of my CC, it can be found by typing 'minimo' in the search box, and have my custom thumbnail...

A Stranger Alien Garden

I re-visited my fascination with the EP01 Sixam plants with the new options that we got with Strangerville. This is the result…

There is one plant that is part of the Strangerville plants that has additional recolors (seven), which I then took and applied to the rest of the Strangerville plants as well as the Sixam plants, for a Huge possibility of color combinations. All of the SV plants have been de-tuned into ‘regular’ houseplants, and given slots in case one wants to place then in any pots or such. They require Strangerville (GP07) to use, as the Sixam plants require Get To Work (EP01) to use, naturally… The number of swatches range from 8 - 23 (EP01 plants), 7 - 9 for the SV plants. I also minimized the size of their footprints to make them all easier to place together.

Additionally, I tweaked the Tentacle Sculpture from GP07 by removing the inner 'support’ of the mesh, and gave it an extra 15 re-colors to go with the original 3 swatches (not shown above). Also available are 5 BG rock clones that I made to give the gardens some 'extra FX’ (all BCG) - one for the fairy, one for Sixam pollen floating upwards, one for Sixam pollen falling downwards, one rather noise-some one with the orbs that appear with the alien abduction event, and lastly one with the ground-based 'aurora’ light rays.

In continuation of my additional heat-lamps HERE, I made clones of the Cats & Dogs (EP04 - required) Training Hoops, and turned them into 'Heated Plasma Lamps’ (I believe Dine Out [GP03] is required to use - no outdoor heat sources included with Seasons, of course… SMH), fully functional & upgrade-able, and each of the three heights have 9 swatches including the original white-only one.

Lastly, I took the Geometric Club Door from Get Together, halved it, and then cloned a divider from Bowling (SP10 required) and made two single-tile 'dividers’ or whatever you may wish them to be… Eight frame choices each with a choice of four lighted colors, for a total of 32 swatches.

Ignoring The Signs

Three used-to-be-billboards, taken from debug, previously released by @brazenlotus as liberated Get Famous items, however Maxis actualy patched them into the Base Game (for some reason). I had already made these for myself when Studio updated for EP06 when she made her release. I removed the support scaffolding, turned them into wall signs, and added a few extra variations (2 with 7, 1 with 6). Shown above made smaller by 2X on a Medium wall. As I wrote, these are Base Game items, so yeah...

Signs Of Good Things To Come

Seven new signs for your wherevers. These are born from my long-time obsession with world scripts, all taken from various languages via pouring over all of the current Unicode specification. I do not read any of these languages, so I literally do not know if I accidentally created any untoward words with my compiling of the characters... Not Simlish, technically, but to me what I see in the 'Official' Simlish signs/text that we have is a commonality of characters being something that *appears* to be a word, but of course isn't at all. This is the first fruit of what I have had on my 'back burner' for quite some time, now. I plan/hope to be able to compile several 'Simlish' fonts using a self-developed methodology of the characters being 'letter-like' in thier representation.

Cloned from Dine Out signs (GP03 required), each has 9 swatches as shown above. I 'added a bit of random color variation' to the back-lighting, so that they are not all pure clones of each other (read: I was too stupid to make an action for Photoshop to replicate each color precisely, and instead did each color for each clone individually, without remembering in-between the color numbers for the clone I had just finished... o_0). As demonstrated above, they slot into any of the 'Unfulfilled' signs that come with D.O., and are shown above @ 1X & 2X size.

On The Way To Kathmandu... (Tibetan-style Tangkhas)

I know, Kathmandu is in Nepal, but you get the idea... The main set here on the wall is cloned from BG items, and includes the tangkha itself (15 swatches), the draped banner (7 swatches) and the garland (11 swatches). You will need to use moo to place them as I did above.

Additionally, I have included the new Asian garden lights, cloned from a Dine Out candle (GP03 required), three choices of size, 16 swatches (8 white candle, 8 red candle), and the little flower scatter, cloned from the GP03 (required) table flowers with 10 swatches.

Help With Tiny Living Crafting (A Surface Is A Surface)

This is a re-make of something that I use in all of my lot builds, that I had previously done with the BG High cabinet set, this time using the Spa Day cabinets (GP02 required) as they are what I used for my upcoming tokonoma set (so that they all match...). You have a choice of three types in three categories, one for wood working (BG)(Creative), one for floral arranging (EP05)(Outdoor), and one for archaeology (GP06)(Knowledge), with a choice of four different surfaces from the counter island set to choose from. All have the same swatches as the original GP02 clone, with one additional swatch of all white (base & top). I added a couple of misc. deco slots underneath of them, in case you wish to add some extra something below.

Instead of having to lose 2 - 4 tiles for any of those surfaces, you only need one (plus one for the Sim to stand, as per usual with any counter top...).

They each have the similar functionality of the 'regular' counter islands with the catalog options, however are tuned to their respective items so that Sims will not be cooking or plopping plates down on them... They do not have my custom thumbnail as is usual for me, as adding one messed up the way they were displayed in B/B mode.

Rats. (Pun Intended) I Still Have Seven Days Left...

When does one know when to stop massaging a set of items for release, and not keep on adding to the whole thing until one has an inordinate amount of items to release? Better screenshots (during play testing) than the last post (now deleted in lieu of this one...).

I am working really hard on a personal wish-list project for Sims 4, which is a 床の間, or tokonoma [wiki], since we have no such thing or items with which to make one currently in Sims 4. I intend to have it all released by the New Year (春节/小正月/설날). Maximum flexibility, tied to a minimum of pack requirements (as much as possible...)(Spa Day & Dine Out). All from Maxis meshes. I am really Giggly about how well the new D.O. sign clones turned out...

The current amount of items that I have assembled for this is @ 130 (only ~33 were from already made .packages), however in-between taking the screenshots and writing this, I added another seven items. I really need to seek some help, I guess... o_0

Sul Sul Fa Choy - or - That Rat Is Metal!

Just a couple of little things that I did for the upcoming New Year, similar to what I did for the Earth Dog after 'Pets' was released in 2018. Both items are BGC, 6 swatches for the billboard (shown @ 1X and then 2X size), and six choices for the framed art, as shown - each in a choice of four frames (black, 'white', light wood & dark wood). I most likely will do another framed one, to be released in a couple of days along with my 'special treat' on which I am working very hard.

They can be found by searching 'minimo' or by searching 'Rat', and have my custom thumbnail.

TEA MOODS LOOKBOOK CHALLENGE

I have never participated in any challenge with Sims 4 other than my personal ones of designing #NoCC lots, which I must say is a VERY challenging thing for me to do with all of the CC that I have created and all that I have by others who are much better than I am at creating CC. That said, I also want to add that just a small tag or mention such as the one that @wistfulpoltergeist did in tagging me for this challenge can make in one's day and general outlook on things. It is a VERY lovely thing to be thought of, no matter in what manner. Thank You @wistfulpoltergeist!

Since I don't Social Media very well, I took the lead from them and made two Sims for my two favorite teas. Having read the suggestion made by @ts4boytique for the challenge of getting out of one's comfort zones, I summarily dismissed such a crazy thought, and hastily retreated right into my comfort zone as per usual. What I discovered while making the screenshots for the pair is that I really want to update my CAS trait replacements so that I can have ANY other poses to capture in CAS than the default 'idle' one, which has so few frames/variation to it, it becomes a challenge in and of itself to capture the Sim in different poses and not 5 variations of the same posture... o_0 My computer, while being solid (knocking on wood) and allowing me to play Sims 4 on Maximum settings does NOT allow for me to use Re-Shade successfully, and I have never been one to use Sims 4 as a posing/rendering program as I have DazStudio for those needs. I never the less very much appreciate seeing how much effort some people put into their screenies! The two Sims are pulled from my Tray files of two different butlers that I had altered in-game, featuring five choices of outfit - formal, athletic, party, swimwear and cold weather. I believe that one of the facial hairs comes from the talented @golyhawhaw, otherwise the CC used is of my own creation.

The first one, top photo, is of the first tea that I fell into Like with while living in New York and going to my favorite Dim Sum place on Mott Street - Zhu Cha, or Gunpowder Tea [wiki]. Living in New York also gave me the bonus of being able to shop at Ten Ren (ditto for #2), so there's that as well. (Gunpowder tea is in NO way red, I maybe should have gone with Hibiscus tea for that - really, but I took the 'hot beverage' thing too seriously and never drank self-made hibiscus tea hot... OK, let's just pretend that I did go with that, alright?)

The second photo is of my 'mainstay' Favorite tea - genmaicha [wiki]. I was introduced to this tea while living in San Francisco and eating at the first and subsequently also the last restaurant that I ate in while there - the much lamented and long gone 'No Name' (officially Nippon) sushi restaurant. So many great memories of so many Amazing sushi meals prepared by the head chef there, who got great amusement of watching me sitting at the counter while I would stream Happy tears from the 'wasabi orgasms' that I would get from the maguro nigiri that he made for me!!! He was a marvel to watch, made even more so as he looked as if he were an ancient samurai who stepped right out of a ukiyo-e by Sharaku [wiki]. I did not try to replicate his visage for the Sim , as he was so unique that I would not want a watered-down version of him.

Thank You for this challenge, however I do not really know anybody well enough to tag them. o_0
