“i don’t know isa… i thought this would be a fun way to mess with sunghoon, but it’s going wrong in so many ways. i still feel bad about this.” you nervously say to your best friend as you walk through the crowded cafeteria with a lunch tray of food.

“is this about jake asking you to be his girlfriend? i told you, you’re stressing over nothing!” isa reassured, stealing the cookie from your tray.

“no isa, i mean i feel bad that we’re messing with jake’s feelings. i don’t think it’s fair to make him suffer just because he’s friends with an asshole.”

“well when you say it like that it sounds bad,” she admitted, following beside you as you walked over to where sunoo was sitting, “but we’re already so far into it, y/n! if we give up now, sunghoon will never let you hear the end of it.”

you let out a sigh as you both took your seat at the table, acknowledging that she was right. all you could do now is go along with whatever this prank brought you to.

you picked at the food in front of you, your mind wandering back to worries about what sunghoon had said the night before.

“sunoo. isa. i need you to be honest with me.” you said abruptly, catching the attention of the two who were enjoying their food.

“sure y/n, what is it?” sunoo asked.

“do i really talk about myself as much as sunghoon says i do? because i think i talk about myself a reasonable amount, like enough to recognize my greatness without being a narcissist, you know?” you rambled.

sunoo laughed at your rambling before he opened his mouth to respond to your rant, but quickly closed it again as he saw someone approach your table with a bright smile plastered on their face. the look of shock on sunoo’s face made you curious enough to turn around, only to see jake coming your way.

“jake?!” you whisper-screamed at your friends who giggled at your reaction, “stop laughing! i’m not ready right now, what do i even say-” you froze when you felt a boy sit in the seat next to yours. holy shit. you thought.

“hi pretty.” the smiley boy said.

“hey jake... what are you doing here?” you fake smiled, attempting to hide the overwhelming emotions of stress.

“oh yeah, sorry if i’m bothering you. i just wanted to ask if you were free on friday?”

“friday…? yeah i am, why?” you answered, letting out a sigh in relief, grateful he didn’t ask the big question in front of everybody.

“cool, i was hoping we could hang out? like just go to the beach for a little or something?”

“beach? it’s january.” you laughed.

“i know, i know.” he laughed back, “but i heard you like it there. we don’t have to go if you don’t want to, i’m down for anything as long as it’s with you.”

you took a second to respond, as you gushed secretly over his sweet words. how could you really be doing this to him?

“you really are nothing like your friend. you’re so sweet jake,” you said, looking up to him, ”i would love to go to the beach with you.”

his face lit up completely, his beautiful smile shining brighter than ever. he cleared his throat, trying to hide his excitement from before, “yeah, uh that’s cool then, i’ll see you friday.” he said before leaving a quick peck on your cheek, picking up his tray, and walking back over to his table.

you quickly turn around to face your friends, regret and guilt completely filling up your body, “oh my goodness. i cannot believe i am doing this.”

“y/n!!! he’s down so bad, this is going so great!” isa cheered, patting you on the back.

“isa,” you face-planted, “i feel so terrible doing this. did you even hear what jake said to me?”

“oh my beautiful y/n, i am in love with you. i would do anything just to be with you, my love. mwah mwah mwah mwah.” sunoo mimicked, making kiss noises in your face, attempting to tease you.

you sighed loudly, shoving a big spoonful of your food in your mouth to avoid cursing out your friends. this better help me win.

JUST A LITTLE BIT- 15 : my jakeypoo 😍😍

sunghoon stared at the bright screen in front of his face, eyes scanning over the text messages of his conversation with jake. sunghoon knew that he was right. jake probably knew him better than his own mother. as much as sunghoon tried to hide his secrets, jake could and always would see right through them, just like glass.

sunghoon let out a groan, turning off his phone and turning his body over in his bed to face the blank wall of his room. he hated overthinking just like everyone else, but jake’s words floated around in his head, intruding his every other thought.

“ ‘using my hatred to cover my feelings’ pft, sounds fucking stupid. is jake some kind of love specialist now? how could i be in love with y/n?” he brushed off to himself, but jake’s words came back to him again.

“oh fuck, who am i kidding?” he sighed loudly, shoving his face into his pillows before letting out a small scream. sunghoon knew he was lying to himself. everything he had just denied, lies. jake was right once more. he never had any true reason to hate you, besides the fact that you were so perfect it made him angry.

“dammit, y/n.”
