I'm still not really here but I did stumble across this request by @simmingfromapyramid the other day and after I put together a quick proof of concept in Milkshape it reminded me of Violet. Those are her original braids (though she's never worn them in my game) and I don't think I ever showed off her room after her stint with the Cosplaying Contrarys playing pirate. Let's just say she took to the life like she thought she was Alexandra Teatherton and she came home with, well, nary a doubloon cuz she cashed in all her winnings for souvenirs.

It's been oh-so-many years so I couldn't resist the opportunity to turn the "need" for preview pics into a photoshoot with Pirate Violet!

So, the ask was about the braids and bandana hair from Castaway and I still have no idea if anyone has ever combined them for the main game before but seemed simple enough.

(Until the bone assignments for the bouncy bangs behaved very stupidly for all but the teens even though I did not change anything. I couldn't take it anymore, had to just assign to head so they'd stop disappearing. And since I adjusted the bandana a bit to more realistically compress the braids rather than floating over the forehead the bangs really don't need to move.)

All ages included. Was going to use Melodie9's toddler version of the braids but they were shorter than I liked to group with the rest.

And while I was at it, since I'm unlikely to use the braids in-story for Violet, I went ahead and made the bandana an accessory for her to have later.

Will definitely clip with most hairs, but figured that if it worked with at least 2 of whatever cc hair was in my test folder for each age and gender I'd post it. (And it even worked ok with some of the entirely different set of cc in my DV setup.)

And I'm only now realising it didn't occur to me to take pics of anyone else, even though the male meshes are included in the accessory, because...why would I?

Technically missing, but for sure not dead. Will be back soon, just need to get back my spark which can alternatively charge up if i get my first real laptop that can run the sims 2, I only know how to use macbook devices, so i sim on bootcamp on a macbook air i bought when i was in college (I graduated 6 years ago)
