As a child growing up at the age of nine(9) years old, I discovered my love for food. When I say food, i do not mean just eating food 😂 I mean preparing food (cooking), the different combinations of flavours and simply, just the science behind food. I then started my journey to attain the necessary credentials to work in the the area of nutrition. For those who do not know, nutrition is the study of the different nutrients and how the body uses them. I, for one know there are lots more individual who discovered there passion at a very early age, like myself. I wish to reach out to all the chefs out there, the real foodies, that didn't get the chance to follow their true passion. Simms- World of nutrition will be that voice you wish you had.

My name is Vanessa Simms, and I am from a small island called Jamaica. I attained my CXC pass in food, nutrition and health, to take the first step in my journey to pursue my dreams . I'm currently at a pause in the pursuing of my career because of financial hiccups. I have huge plans to execute in the next 5 years to come. I will open my restaurant by the end of the 5 year period called 'Simms World to You ' . I will also be a Culinary head chef with experience at different restaurants in the Caribbean . Lastly, I will have a community of supportive personnels, who have been with me throughout the whole journey.

Let's make a healthier, better world through our passion for food. I hope that where ever my business locations are, there will be Joy and togetherness with my family meals. Not just the common fried chicken and fries or rice and peas, I'm speaking about our exclusive family meals, example: Corn Beef and cabbage/ Corn bed and Mixed vegetables with Steamed white Rice . Caribbean home cuisines, hmmmmmm😋. Feeling hungry talking about these food. So many more delicases to try, explore and keep alive. Since all these restaurants seem to be stuck on serving the same old I will take that step outside the box so customers can enjoy home cooked meals a call away.
