Speaking the UI slang
I'm a designer
trying to speak English finer.
I try to leverage the words that I've acquired
from all the smooth talkers I admired.
By putting these words in rhyme
I'm shifting the paradigm.
When solving a problem I'm not being simplistic.
Instead my approach is holistic.
I think outside the box:
The quick brown fox...
...jumps over the lazy dog
(using all letters just to finish my backlog)
Designing is not that hard.
It's just burning down a chart.
Using waterfall doesn't get you wet,
but as a process it's very bad.
If you don't want to be 'dumb',
you're agile and use scrum.
I've not understood
why being disruptive is good
and no matter how deep you dig,
data is big,
why words are strings
and next is the internet of things
Low hanging fruit is what we develop,
unless we push the envelope.
The cloud is not in the air.
My English has left me in despair.
Nothing is what it sounds.
This is too difficult to get my head around.
I hope I still have the attention of my reader
because I'm trying to be a thought leader.
Usability is king.
and there is one more thing:
(is something you should never say,
not unless you want to quote Steve Jobs anyway)
Can I finally pronounce the most difficult word
in English you've ever heard,
they tell me: Skeuomorphism is yesterday.
Today is flat all the way!
