Advise & Tips
Some advises and tips that I would give are to always know what you are doing, I know this might sound idiotic, but from what I have seen in class most of the points that are lost in class are due to people just not knowing what they are supposed to do.
So my advise on how to accomplish this is, when you start to do a new assignment first check the sources available to you, first check the lectures and handouts section and look for the week’s presentation in which the professor explained the assignment, next find the assignment in the Student Guide, and lastly check the module for more information, leave those open during the whole duration of the the assignment completions, and whenever you are in doubt just go back to them.
That for me is a huge help towards completing my assignments, knowing exactly what the professor wants, and not leaving anything out will almost always warranty a good score, and which ever assignment you did not get a good score there are always revisions.

Week 14
What is the purpose of submitting a video in a writing class? The purpose of submitting a video in a writing class is to teach about genres and how different genres manage to explain a message in different ways, and the how it is conveyed allows it to be interpret in different ways. In other words it tries to teach us about how to properly deliver our message to our audience in the way that is more appropriate, and deserving of the situation, because after all this is rhetoric and composition.

Opinion Piece Plataform
For my opinion piece as with most of my other previous works I will do a written op-ed, since I feel I can more calmly express myself, and be logical, and empirical about my statements.
As for the topic I will be focusing on is, how different businesses try to stay in business, by using social networks. Because after all they are not to many problems relating to social networking and business that have not yet been resolved.
But after all if by any chance social networking might not turn out to work as a topic I might need to change my topic, but I doubt that will happen.

Film Documentary
Option A: Address a specific obstacle or concern that you or your group will encounter with the topic and/or film documentary.
Like with any other topic finding a solution for the issue is a hard thing to do, it is not impossible, but still hard. Finding an already existing solution and just referencing it would make this a rather easy project but on the case of our topic, we run into this problem for a couple of reasons. Our topic being, “how to get children interested in science”, finding a solution is rather hard since no one has found a definitive solution for this just yet.
Option B: What are your concerns with working in a group? Share a group project experience (negative or positive) and how it shaped your work ethic, how you handle group work, etc.
Like most know working in a group is not working in a group but rather leaving someone to do all the work and the rest just taking credit for the work of one. I have been on both sides of this coin. Most of the times me doing final projects multiple of pages long that involved me doing most of it along and turning it in at the last moment, while my teammates were asleep, and I had not slept. On the other hand, the person who would literally not allow me to get involved, and literally chose me for their team because they knew I could do the presentation and go to all the group meetings, that were required, I was there to fill a spot.
Besides that I like to work alone most of the time because I do not like where some people lead the project to, almost taking it to where it is most beneficial for them.

Research Methodology
My research methodology is to always look for scholarly papers, I know that having source variety is good for a paper as it gives the paper different points of view as different sources display the material in different ways.
But for some reason using anything that displays information in a informal manner, or of similar fashion is just so infuriating to talk about in my work, because adapting what they are saying to fit is something that I honestly do not like.
Most classes in which I have to write paper require me to consult scholarly papers, so I get away with using those types of sources on almost all classes, as most classes do not argue with formal, and credible sources. That is one aspect I love about my courses.
Even if I have to use informal sources I feel I can adapt them well enough so that they do not seem to be informal, it is just the process of doing so that infuriates me. But as always I deal with it and add them, and they do add variety, but I still do not like it, and if the class appears to ask me to that for the whole semester I just drop it and find another course.

My Research Process
My research process starts with the analysis of my research topic, and moves forward by identifying the key points of my topic. Then I look at what I want to say, pace it in an orderly manner, and move forward by finding sources that provide me with the source material I require, and depending on my source that might incite me to continue my research forward to another supporting stand.
Lastly I worry about grammar checks, revising, referencing and the sort, because I keep my sources in the file I am working in as links, since it is easier to keep referencing them over and over again from wherever I open my file until I am done, or a professor asks me to show them my work. So I just use Purdue Owl to make my reference page and in-text citation.

Literature Review Obstacles
While doing similar works to the literature review I often come across a set of problems, problems like being unable to find sources that can support my claims, or help me answer my question. Another problem that I often run into is that the sources covered can often be one-sided, not meaning that the source is opinion based, but rather that the source covers only one aspect of the issue.
Besides,in my topic most sources cover social networking from the social media aspect of business in corporation, that is the communication exchange that occurs between a corporation and its customers. While I am researching how a corporation exchanges information not only with its customers, but also in between corporations and suppliers within its own social network. Which makes it hard to find sources, because this topic of social media within a business is currently trending(has been trending for the last 5 years or so)
After that writing comes easily to me once I obtain all my sources, so not losing my thought process during this time is the only thing I really worry about. Lastly revise it and rewrite.

How does studying genres impact my writing?
I make use of genres to convey information during different situations. Each genre is fitting for different situations, since the constrains of a genre can limit my capability to convey information, each situations calls for the use of a specific genre, even though sometimes using a different genre for a genre specific situation can turn out some interesting results.
So, how does it impact my writing, it allows me to identify the weakness, constraints, freedoms, and capabilities of each genre allowing me to know when to use each genre and how to use it in the most effective manner. As well as knowing how to identify the audience that I’m trying to convey information to know how to send the message in the most effective way, meaning how to structure my information, and the method of delivery in way most appealing to the audience.

Iconography
In this tumblr post I’ll be analyzing a video game that I own, called Catherine, in which a man is caught in an ordeal, when a demon is haunting unfaithful man by killing them in their dreams by making men fight each other to survive. During the game on takes decisions that affect your ending, and what happens to you, this is a dating game. This falls under iconography since most of the message that it tries to portray is visual, meaning video and image.
Purpose: Entertain customers by showing a compelling history, and by making them form a part of it. It’s main purpose is to appeal to it’s customer in order to increase sales and gain attraction. Since increasing sales will increase it’s attraction and gaining attraction will boost sells It does so by showing imagery that continues to attract, and maintain attention. It does so by challenging the customer during levels and find different ways to beat the game obtain a different outcome, and try again. To share different experiences with others playing the game and trying to beat it.
Audience: It’s audience falls under the audience of most other video games, males, and females at the age of 10-25, since its a dating game it is reduce to mostly males at the age of 15-25. Males at the age of 17-25 with access to the internet (since this is an always connected game: meaning that it requires to be connected to the internet at all times to play it.). As well as the fact that most people that play dating simulators look for guides online in order to complete the game and see all the outcomes. Games of this type usually don’t attract younger and older audiences since they either do not care for such games at such a young age, or do not have a good perspective of what good this games do to society.
Ethos: The game doesn’t process to much authority in the US since the producer is in a different country in the other side of the world, so not to many of it’s titles have been published and gain sufficient attraction here in the US, but in Japan its place of origin dating games are a current trend adopted by a large number of the gaming population in japan.
Pathos: As most dating games it tries to appeal to the customers emotions by the disturbing, and impressive iconography, as well as the emotions of man the most of the audience of this games, as it appeals to the acts of unfaithful man.

Introduction
Hi everyone, I am Alan, as you can guess by my username and photos I like anime as much as any other run of the mill otaku, but I wouldn’t say I am an otaku. I do like to read manga, and see anime, but I do not like to give it my all to anime. I am a gamer, I game on the Xbox 360, and of course on the PC (PC master race), besides a few hand held consoles, for gaming on the go. Right now I am hooked on Hearthstone, Warframe, and the occasional round of cs:go and left 4 dead 2.
Besides that, I guess that this few quotes describe me the best.
“I like, what I like”
-Me
If I don't have to do it, I won't. If I have to do it, I'll make it quick. -Hyouka

Courage is knowing what not to fear. - Plato
All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players. - Shakespeare (As Your Like It)
“Being human totally sucks most of the time. Videogames are the only thing that make life bearable.” ― Ernest Cline, Ready Player One
And lastly I am shy, an unsocial, so if I stutter, or seem awkward towards you, I am like that with everyone don’t think to much about it.
