Starting Sims in CAS (MOD)

I took part in a project where we collaborated with other talented creators in the Sims community to create starting sims for CAS. With this mod you'll get unique and diverse characters ready for your creative projects.

Features of the mod: - 40 unique characters (20 masc and 20 fem frames); - Huge variety of types for inspiration; - Neutral underwear in all outfits - no more wasting time removing unwanted clothing layers; - Neutral manicure and pedicure for fem characters in all outfits; - Subtile makeup enhancing facial features; - No accessories; You can take a look at every sim in this mod under the cut.

How to use this mod: - Place the file in the Mods folder. Since this is a default replacement, there can only be one mod of this type in the folder. If you already have a mod that alters the default characters, make sure to remove the old one before installing the new one; - When you first load into Create-A-Sim (CAS), a pre-made Sim from our collection will appear. If you’d like to see alternate versions, simply click the ‘X’ button at the bottom-right and choose ‘Reset Current Family’ to refresh; - Create! (Please note: These characters were created using all available packs and DLCs. While the mod should still work if you don’t own certain packs, some features or items may be missing.)

Now character creation will be even more enjoyable and convenient! Happy simming!

The way I like to play is all about letting sims do their own thing and following their goals, making their own stories, and kind of just seeing where the game (or rather mods) take me. It’s more fun when things happen unexpectedly, and it helps keep the game from getting boring!!

You can mix this playstyle into any challenge like Rags to Riches, 100 Babies, whatever - It’s not really a challenge on its own, just a different approach to playing The Sims 4! 🙂‍↕️ https://www.youtube.com/deykxn This list will continue to get updated over time, probably missing some rules but hopefully this makes for a good base! Recommended Mods: Coolspear's Improved Autonomy Have Some Personality Please Social Variety Wants & Fears Lumpinou Pro Library LGBTQIA+ Mod Drama Unleashed Carl's Gameplay Overhaul Sim Control Hub Romantic Extensions More Kisses Better Midlife Crisis Goals General Rules: No cheats for money No exiting without saving Try to keep most interactions autonomous - No instigated flirting/woohoo - Friendly Interactions are okay to instigate - Mod interactions for storytelling mods are okay to instigate do NOT stop your sims from being mean/arguing!! this is something i know a lot of us do but if sims don't get along let them not get along - and turn mean autonomy back on with mcc if you've turned it off!! Mindset: Before you do anything major in the game - ask yourself “would this actually happen in real life?” Does it make sense for your sim’s current situation? How would it fit into their story? Try to treat your sims like they’re real people with emotions, goals, and limitations!!

Housing: Don't purchase a fully decorated perfect little house, always move your sims into either empty lots or shells and fill them up over time! We are allowed to move If a house was built up rags to riches style we are allowed to ‘sell’ it for it’s full price If moved into a shell we won’t get money for the property from moving out Repairs must be made using the ‘repair’ interactions or hiring a service 'replacing' is not allowed For every lot challenge we can put one lot trait that brings in a positive - Simple Living lot trait has to be applied Wants & Fears: Try to complete at least one want before each refresh Fears do not have to be conquered Try to complete the heirs Bucket List - Bucket List goals have to be randomized If in a midlife crisis pay extra special attention to those goals!! Personality: Aspirations - Randomized allowed to re-roll the aspiration after each birthday! Sims 4 Aspiration Generator Traits - Randomized Personality Discoveries have to be decided by the yes or no wheel Yes No Picker Wheel - Get Yes or No Answer by Spinning

Jobs: Not allowed to take Phone Job opportunities For the heir try to pick a ‘open career’ e.g. Small Business, Freelance, etc. - Allowed to do Odd Jobs/Side Hustles/Part-time Jobs Career has to align with the sims’ personality You are allowed to apply for goverment benefits Spouses/Partners: No moving in until Sim gets the want or Partner proposes it - Partner does not bring in money from moving in!! No Engagement/Marriage until Sim gets a want or partner proposes it - If Partner proposes moving in/marriage/engagement the yes or no wheel has to be spun Yes No Picker Wheel - Get Yes or No Answer by Spinning Wicked Whims: Random Sex offers have to go through the yes or no wheel - established partners can just accept/decline Seductive Looks have to go through the yes or no wheel Pregnancy: If one, or both, Parents do not want a child the yes or no wheel has to decide Yes No Picker Wheel - Get Yes or No Answer by Spinning - If the wheel says yes to terminating the Pregnancy but we do not have money to terminate it the pregnancy will go through!

Offspring: Naming: Go down the ABC per Sim Traits: Always randomized - unless you have an established idea for the sim Heir can be whoever we vibe with the most Lumpinou Mods: Interactions have to always be decided by fate Death: If a Sim dies we are not allowed to plead for their life Cannot bring a Sim back from the dead No interactions with ghosts unless the Sim is very into the Paranormal Wheel of Drama Can be used whenever you're bored! This is a legacy challenge I created to add some more drama and spice to my game while enjoying the many packs and features it has to offer (that I often forget exist)! Feel free to use mods/cc in your games or play completely vanilla. It’s all up to you! In some generations, I will add some mod suggestions that I think would add to the overall experience of that gen, but it is NOT a must! Feel free to alter certain goals to suit your play style as I want you guys to enjoy the legacy and have fun! I hope you guys are ready for some drama & hot tea! 🍵

This legacy is pack heavy (I couldn’t help myself 😭) so feel free to swap out traits, aspirations and goals to something you can do with the packs you own. Some generations are more wholesome than others. Some are filled with drama! If you want to check things off your list, make a copy of the rules to keep for yourself, then you should be able to edit it! Oh and I want to see your sims!! Do you like the Life is Strange franchise? Well here’s a legacy challenge based off of the characters and stories. From the Life is Strange franchise, each gen giving a very cinematic feel. Just like life is strange I hope you will enjoy the Strange Life We Live Legacy Challenge!

Just like life is strange, this legacy can go different directions. Depending on player choice the actions of your sims matter! So, choose wisely!

Rules:

Play on any lifespan you want, Normal and Long are suggested.

Gen.1 Polaroids of Your Friendship (inspired by: Max’s Story) 📸🦌

a teen with only your best friend and a camera. You go adventures sneaking away after school will there be romance or chaos. Between you two only you can decide as life goes forward and does not rewind. You grow up to be a well-known photographer mentoring others and reflecting on your journey. 

Lifestage: Teen

Traits: Socially Awkward and Creative (Switch Socially Awkward as a Young Adult for Outgoing.) (Add Ambitious as a Young Adult.)

Aspiration: Neighborhood Confidante

Color: Pink 

Career: Freelance Photographer 

Live in Brindelton Bay in an Apartment Building or Home with your best friend.

Max the Photography Skill 

Go on adventures such as hikes, parties etc with your best friend. Take pictures with them.

Decide to fall for them or be just their friend. Lose your best friend as an Young Adult either by death or break up. (Can cheat your friend's death for story purposes.)

Have a wall full of pictures of you and your friend

As a young Adult join the freelance photographer career

Mentor others in the photography skill

Find someone new, marry them and have one child. 

🌀Decide if you fall in love with your best friend-Or if you stay friends and lose them 

Gen.2 No One Understands Why a Genius is a Rebel (inspired by: Chloe’s Story) 🤘🏼🦋

Growing up very brilliant with potential to be a scientist. But when you lose your parent that's when everything changes. You start to drink and graffiti everything. It made you a rebel with a cause. Losing all hope of becoming anything you rely on music and a friend/lover for support. Which leads to a broken heart from them cheating.

Lifestage: Teen 

Traits: Genius and Party animal (Switch the Genius Trait to Music Lover as a Young Adult.) (Add the Self-Assured Trait as a Young Adult.)

Aspiration: Party Animal

Color: Turquoise 

Career: Musician 

Live in Brindelton Bay in a Home with your parents as a Teen

Do well in School till high school when you lose your parent. (Can cheat your parents death for story purposes.)

Change your style as a teen to Rocker Style, dye your hair and get tattoos.

Start drinking and going to parties as a Teen.

Meet a Snob friend, become lovers or stay friends. Then find out they cheated on you if you date them.

As a Young Adult play Guitar on the street for money. Then join the entertainer career and reach level 5 of the career.

Have a child with someone random you meet at a bar etc.

Then have another child with a sim who is the opposite of you that has the cheerful or good trait. (You need more than one potential heir for the next gen storyline.)

Never Marry

🌀Decide if you become lovers with your teen friend or not

Gen.3 Bullied into Sin or Living for Good (inspired by: Kate's Story) 🙏🏻🥺

Living the godly life made you a good person. But after getting bullied in school. You want to disappear, a mistake attending a party has led to your self-esteem plummeting. Now you're faced with a challenge: live on or die from gloominess. If you decide to live. You Find a passion for being a children's book author and meet the love of your life and have a big family.

Lifestage: Teen

Traits: Gloomy and Good (Add the bookworm trait as a Young Adult.)

Aspiration: Friend of the World

Color: White 

Career: Writer

Live in Brindleton bay with your family as a teen

Have a bad relationship with two of your classmates

Max the writing skill

Decide if you die or live on (you may cheat this part for story purposes.)

If you live: on graduate high school Move out to any world. 

Join the Writer career reach level 8 of the career.

Date and Marry someone who has the bookworm trait.

Have a big family at least three children

🌀Decide if you die or live on (if you decide to kill off your heir then have their sibling continue on the legacy.) 

Gen.4 Daddy Issues that Lead to Posed Death (inspired by: Rachel’s Story) ⭐🦁

Throughout your teenhood you dreamed of a shiner life! Living in such a small town with talent for modeling and drama made you sad. As a teen hooking up was the only distraction you had till. you meet a man who changes your life that you give your all too. Letting him take photos of you that ends in tragedy. 

Lifestage: Start as a Teen 

Traits: Self Absorbed and Creative (Add Ambitious as a Young Adult) 

Aspiration: World Famous Celebrity

Color: Red 

Career: Actor

Live in Brindleton Bay with your parent as a teen

Be in the Drama club at school

Mess around with two classmates.

Have at least a B in High School

As a Young Adult, have an affair with a Male sim who's an Evil Traited teacher. Have a child with them.

Move away to Del Sol Valley

Join the actor career reach level 8 of the career 

Max the Acting Skill and reach level 5 in Romance skill.

Have a fight with your Evil Teacher then pass away from Poison. (You may cheat this part for story purposes.) 

Play as the Evil Teacher dispose of the body (urn) then decide to either take care of the child. Or let the child raise itself.

🌀Decide if the Evil teacher raises their child or lets the child take care of itself.

Gen.5 On your own without a home a wolf on the run (inspired by: Shaun and Daniel’s Story) 🌵🐺

Out on your own no home just far from the place. You used to know now it’s your purpose to survive. Anyway you can whether it’s stealing or growing your own food. The police are after you from being a runaway. But you don’t care, you must do what you can to live to run free of parental issues.

Lifestage: Teen (You can play as a werewolf or human)

Traits: Creative and Loner (Add the loves the outdoors trait as an young adult)

Aspiration: Outdoor Enthusiast 

Color: Black

Career: Criminal/Painter

Runaway from home as a teen traveling from world to world. You can place a tent in any world you want.

Find a place to stay in any world as a teen.

Don’t go to high school and never graduate.

Max the Painting skill and reach level 5 in Mischief Skill

Make money by gardening, stealing etc.

As a young Adult, join the criminal career, reach level 5 then quit. To become a painter reach level 8.

Find someone who is a werewolf or human and marry them. 

Have two children 

🌀Stay with your werewolf or Human Spouse or Leave them and become a Lone Wolf.

The Collection Legacy by @simzcoolstar! Graphics by me. I played around a lot with the layout but I really like how it came out in the end!

This 10 generation challenge will help you complete various collections throughout the game (some you didn't even know about!).

Here are the full challenge rules, which includes details on which packs you'll need for each generation. It looks like it was last updated around 2020 based on the packs used, so you can always add more!

Taxi Default Replacement for The Sims 2

This is a default replacement for the in game Taxi. This version I made is similar to the Sims 4 one. I removed the "thingy" on the top, leaving just the smaller one, changed the texture and made the glass more clear.

TS2 Extender for Legacy Collection

I've been poking around in the new Legacy Collection release for The Sims 2.

I started work on a small mod that currently adds the following:

Borderless fullscreen support

Toggle to skip intro videos.

Firstborn Syndrome Fix (Fixes broken RNG in general)

Experimental restored Lua features for modders.

Download on Github

Installation is simple, head to your game's installation directory -> EP9 -> TSBin and extract the contents there, alongside the game's executable. You can tweak the mod's features via notepad by editing the included .ini file.

Now let's hope EA actually addresses the other millions of issues the release has...

Community Time Project - enables the passing of time on community lots to be spent on the home lot. When your sims come home from the community lot, they won’t travel back in time as in vanila game.

No Plumbobs - removes plumbobs above sims heads and in hood view above lots too.

Build/Buy Mode Enabled on Community Lots

Community Skilling - enables your sims get skill points on community lots. By default they can’t gain them.

Sleep on Community Lots

Business Runs You - it will manage the employees, making them take breaks automatically, giving them reasonable wages automatically, etc

Autoyak - adds phone options to call friends. Automatically picks and chooses existing friends and calls until relations are repaired. This mode is required for the Business mod above.

the sims 4: swiftacy a 10 generation swiftie legacy challenge

Welcome to my Sims 4 Swiftacy Challenge! I’m Gilly, and I recently became extremely enamored with the music of Taylor Swift. I kept thinking how well the storylines in her music would work with a legacy challenge, so I’ve designed each generation of this challenge to reference a different Taylor Swift era. I’ve included generation colors as well just in case you’d like to play this challenge with berry or banilla sims!

Besides the main 9 generations, I’ve also included a few bonus generation prompts. Feel free to use these in addition to or instead of a certain generation’s rules (or include them as their own separate gen!) 

This is a pretty story-oriented legacy, but by no means are you required to play this legacy in that way! Feel free to edit challenge rules or add your own rules to each generation if you want to make it more gameplay-oriented.
