in the interest of nostalgia, here are some mods i've found to restore old game behavior that was removed or changed by updates.

mean interactions for any age - removed in OFB. anyone else remember booting up the game and seeing lilith duke it out with her parents?

kill visiting playables - self-explanatory. removed in seasons.

fewer hobby wants - to keep FT wants from cannibalizing the older wants.

no pet obsession - same as above, but for pets wants.

no shade eyes salute - removes the salute added in M&G.

🏜️ 200 Followers Gift : The StrangerTown neighborhood ! 🛸

🛰️ So many of you loved the photos of this neighborhood that I decided to share it with you. I called it the Aurora Military Base (in reference of the incident in 1897 that took place in Aurora, Texas)

This map is decorated but emptied of lots, in fact many of the houses used are not my own creations and the amount of custom content required to display my redecoration of them is far too large. However, I'll give you the links to the base lots that I used 🏠

Just for info : if for some reason, you don't wish to install some items, it won't make the neighborhood bug. The missing item just won't appear in your neighborhood.

Hello, all The Sims 2 lovers! I’d like to share something very personal with you.

Between 2006 and 2012, Sims 2 machinima thrived. Even the game’s creators supported fan-made videos, often featuring them on official platforms. One iconic element from that era was a memorable logo, along with a few downloadable songs and themes.

While working on the final episode of Esoteric Relation, I decided to recreate that famous logo almost frame by frame as a tribute to those creators. It was something very meaningful to me and brought back some of the best memories I’ve ever had with this amazing game.

You forget that for much of The Sims original run in the 2000s, it was viewed almost entirely on Cathode Ray Tube monitors. While The Sims 2 looks just as good on modern flatscreens, I think that the original Sims actually really benefits from the blur and curvature of CRTs due to it using sprites.

🍂 "Two acres of healthy green grass and a sprinkling of trees and shrubbery were all that occupied this old parcel until just last week when the mysterious migrant show folk pitched their camp here amongst the autumnal foliage."

🪜 The curved staircase by SimArchitect on MTS, that I found (and recolored) isn't the right angle but it's close enough. If any Custom Content creator wants to deal with it, I'll be happy to update my lots.

🔮 Here again, with my fortune teller issue. It's not perfect but... that's nice anyway.

🛞 And Apothecary Todd and his Medicine Wagon is here again... and again... but most Todd's Cart on my lots are hiding a secret ! 🐓
