UPDATE 5/29/2024:
Tumblr media
So, you guys know how much I love my color overlays that allow you to further customize the colors of specific parts of my CC? I've gone ahead and added an ADD-ON to this Anglaise recolor that will let you choose a different color for JUST THE PETTICOAT.
*Like all of my other color overlays, this can be found in the facial piercings category!
Download this new file in the same folder over at Sim File Share below - please make sure you grab it if you've downloaded this gown before 5/29/2024!

Robe a l'Anglaise by @acanthus-sims
A Maxis-Match-ification
All of the custom content created by @acanthus-sims is truly iconic and a must-have for any 18th-century save files. But as a loud and proud captain for Team Maxis-Match, their content has always been just a bit too "alpha" for my personal tastes.
This is a recoloring of Acanthus' Robe a l'Anglaise that started as a personal project so the gown would fit better with my game aesthetic. But as I'm sure there's others out there that love this CC as well who prefer MM, I'm sharing this!
While this is a fairly straightforward process, it does still take a bit of time as it requires baking new textures in Blender and then doing some editing of the textures further in a photo editor. I'll be slowly converting all of Acanthus' content to MM, but this will likely take me some time, so please be patient!
Here's The Details:
Tumblr media
I've recolored the gown and all 3 accessory add-ons that go with it
73 Swatches each in the original palette that came with this gown
These are RECOLORS ONLY, so they require that you have Acanthus' original files!
I've re-textured the Diffuse files, removed all Specular, but kept the original Normal Maps. Acanthus' Normal Maps were quite detailed, so these will still have the slightest Alpha vibe bc of that! I've opted to keep these for the detail they provide, but removing them would require much more hand-painting on my part that I didn't feel like doing... 🫠

18th Century Chemise & Breeches
A set of historically-accurate garments for your Male Sims!
Hi all! After what seems to be the longest time away from The Sims 4 (all thanks to Fallout 4, Baldur's Gate, and Dragon's Dogma 2), I'm back to playing my historical save and creating some Sims content. I made these pieces of cc literally years ago as a quick little personal creation, but I've decided that I actually like them and thought I'd share with you all!
You Get 4 Package Files:
Tumblr media
The "un-tucked" version (the original mesh I created) is what would've been worn as the only layer of underwear in the 18th century, so men would be fully commando under their shirt. With this in mind, I designed the chemise to be worn without any bottoms, leaving your Sim's lower half nude.
If you're using any unmentionable adult mods in your game (cough cough 👀), you WILL see all parts underneath...no promises that there won't be some clipping should your sim hunks be a bit more...ahem...well-endowed...
You should be able to pair this un-tucked version with any pants you'd like in-game, however there will likely be clipping if not paired with the breeches I've made for them. The "tucked" version should work with pretty much everything though!
Located in the Tops category of CAS
3 swatches in different shades of "linen" (historically speaking, these would never be colored, so I did not provide any colorful swatches)
HQ compatible textures
BGC
These are a mesh edit of @historicalsimslife 's port of "Bardly Shirt" from TS3 - you do not need their mesh for mine to work, but what are you even doing if you don't have it already in game?
Tumblr media
In the 18th Century, breeches were the next layer worn after your chemise (without any "underwear" beneath as we would wear today). Gentlemen would simply tuck the length of their chemise directly into the breeches. I tried to add a bit of accuracy and realism to them with a buttoned flap on the front for easy bathroom access and ties at the knees and back of the waist to keep things snug!
I had originally only created these in the same 3 linen swatches to match the shirts, but ultimately decided I liked them enough to pair with other options as well. So I ended up providing you many swatches for these!
2 versions: one with a bulge and one without
Located in the Bottoms category of CAS
70 swatches in my usual favorite Federal & Georgian palette
HQ compatible textures
BGC

[TS4CC] THEY'RE LESBIANS, YOUR MAJESTY: A BAROQUE-INSPIRED COURTLY GOWN
Hi! I probably shouldn't be posting this so late but HEY! Life is to be lived with gusto, so here we are.
NOTES:
Based from @vintagesimstress's 1841 ball gown, mesh is required!
LODs, shadow/spec/color tags, disabled for random, etc.
52 total swatches in 26 colors--two versions for each color, one has a white collar, the other is all solid.
There's a funky bit of weirdness at the bodice. I have redone this thing over and over and over and I am not skilled enough to fix it. I did my best.

Louis-XV-Inspired Robe De Cour
A Maxis-Match Formal Court Gown
Hello my sweeties! I'm so proud to release this gown for all of your 18th-century saves. This has been in my WIP folder for so SO long, and after a bit of a hiatus from creating, I'm so happy I could finish it for you! This gown was inspired by the many portraits of King Louis XV's daughters in their formal court attire.
As usual, I've created different overlay accessories to maximize your customization options in-game. Through different combos of gown color and overlays, there are literally over 100 billion unique looks for this dress... 🤯 I cannot WAIT to see what you can come up with!
Here's What You Get:
Tumblr media
70 Swatches in @anachrosims Georgian & Federal Palette
BGC
Teen-Elder, Female-Frame, Disabled For Random
Includes all LODs, morphs, shadow map, specular, normal map, & custom thumbnails
Mesh & Textures entirely from scratch!
* Disclaimer: given the sheer size of this mesh, along with the detailing of the sleeves, this content is much higher-poly than my previous content! (16k to be exact, but still lower-poly than some other alpha cc) ** Disclaimer 2: true to historical accuracy, the skirt is quite large on this gown! I've done my best with sims' arm placement, but please expect some clipping now and then.
Tumblr media
70 swatches each in matching palette
All located in Facial Piercings category of Head Accessories
Only compatible with Robe De Cour
When using these overlays, the original swatch color chosen for the full body outfit remains as the main color of the bodice and train. You can then fully layer these overlays for different combinations of bodice detail color, bow color, petticoat color, bodice/train damask pattern, and/or petticoat damask pattern.

Eliza - Updated!
A Late 18th Century Round Gown
This is an update to my latest release!
*IMPORTANT NOTE* You will need to delete this original file from your Mods folder: “SimulatedStyles_Late18thCentury_RobeAL'Anglaise_ElizaSchuyler.package”
I’ve changed my naming convention moving forward for my CC, so the new file will NOT replace the old one. All add-ons are NOT compatible with the original gown.
Here’s what you get:
Tumblr media
70 swatches in @anachrosims Georgian & Federal Palette
BGC
Teen-Elder, Female-Frame, Disabled for Random
Compatible with my Italian Gown Sash and Fichu accessories (the sash has ALSO been recolored in 70 swatches from Anachrosims’ palette, so re-download and replace in your mod folder!)
Tumblr media
1 “linen” swatch, located in Right Wrist section of Accessories
Only compatible with the Eliza Gown
Tumblr media
5 Colorable Pattern Overlay Accessories, in 70 swatches each
Located in Facial Piercings section of Head Accessories
Only compatible with the Eliza Gown
These feature a transparent background - the original swatch color of the gown becomes the background color of the pattern! You can then overlay any color of the pattern you so desire. :)
Tumblr media
1 Multi-Color Pattern Overlay - each of the 7 swatches features a different pattern
Located in Facial Piercings section of Head Accessories
Only compatible with the Eliza Gown
You cannot choose the color of these patterns - only the background color will be different based on the swatch of the gown (disclaimer: not every combination is the prettiest of combos...)
Tumblr media
Download either the Individual Files or the Merged File
         | as always, if you notice any issues in-game, let me know! |

1780's Italian Gown
by Simulated Styles
I'm baaaaaccckkkk! 🥰 And while I've been away, I've been cooking up something I hope you'll like as much as I do!
more info & download below the cut! 😘
As you've probs gathered by now, late-18th Cent is my favorite era. While I was geeking around through some historical gowns online, I found this Italian Gown on The Met’s website (check it out!) that I just needed to have in-game for living out my French Rev realness. This project started as a quick little skirt-edit/frankenmesh/MM-ification of the Maria Dress by the amazing @sifix over at TSR (original here). However, the only original mesh part of Sifix's left now is the ruffled neckline and little bow... 🤣 All else is from scratch, including a complete uv_1 remap, hand-painted textures, and custom thumbnails.
Since my least favorite part of the CC-making process is choosing different color combinations for swatches, I decided to do something a bit different and allow you all to do that work yourselves... Through multiple, stack-able overlay accessories, you can customize this outfit and create your own swatches to your liking!
Here’s what you get:
A full-body Italian gown featuring a zone front and split-bum-pad silhouette for female-frame Sims, in 25 solid swatches
Two accessory overlays that add stripes to either the entire gown or just the petticoat, in 25 swatches (these overlays conflict because having one color stripe on the gown and a different on the petticoat is super ugly...)
An accessory overlay that changes the color of only the petticoat, in 25 swatches
An accessory overlay that makes the ruffle detail on the petticoat ivory to match the neckline and bow (I thought one color on the petti and a different on the ruffle looked ick)
*all accessories located in the facial piercings category (I assume if you're playing an historical save you don't use those slots anyway?)
Through different combinations of the above, you can make over 67,000 unique gowns! (but like who’s counting right)
Some other things you might like to know:
download contains one merged package file
base game compatible
teen-elder, female-frame, disabled for random
all LODs, morphs, shadow map, specular, normal map, & custom thumbnails
DOWNLOAD HERE @ SFS
Guys when I tell you I am obsessed with this one I mean I am OBSESSED with this one - let me know if you are too!
Special thanks and credits:
@sifix - for the original mesh (even though it is barely recognizable now 😅)
@simsfromthepast - beautiful 1780's Hat and Hedgehog hair used in photos: download those here

Villersham House Ballroom - A Room Download
youtube
In 1834, Viscount Virgil Villersham commissioned the esteemed architect, Marvin Moore, to build a stately home as a wedding gift for his second son, Vice-Admiral Victor Villersham of the Royal Navy, and his betrothed, Veronica Veasley of the Veasley Baronetcy. Atop the Forgotten Hollow hill, Villersham House was completed in 1838 with architectural elements taken from the Gothic Revival and Second Empire styles. Following their lavish wedding, Victor and Veronica Villersham moved into Villersham House and began a family of their own.
After giving birth to 2 still-born sons, Virgil and Verges, the Villershams bore a baby girl in 1842 – Victoria. Proving to be bright and talented at a young age, Victoria eventually blossomed into a lovely young lady and dreamed of attending the Music Conservatory in neighboring Willow Creek to further her aptitude for the piano-forte. However, after the untimely death of her parents, and without any male heirs to inherit the Villersham and Veasley fortunes, Victoria was found an advantageous marriage to a mysterious and mature foreign aristocrat, Vladimir Volkov, and they were married on November 12th of 1861 during an intimate and modest ceremony.
In the early hours following their wedding night, a chilling wail was heard from the Villersham House Ballroom. The manor's butler hastened to the ballroom, only to find Victoria's body suspended from the lavish Louis XIV chandelier. With no trace left of Vladimir Volkov (or the Villersham/Veasley fortune), Villersham House was left in disrepair and squalor following Victoria's tragic death.
According to superstition, when looking at Villersham House from the bottom of Forgotten Hollow Hill on a stormy night, Victoria's macabre silhouette can be seen through the grand windows of the ballroom standing by the limestone mantle of the hall, illuminated only by an ominous flash of lightning. Reports from teens brave enough to sneak into the deserted manor state that Victoria's melancholic piano-forte melodies can be heard echoing through the deserted halls of her family's abandoned home. And upon further investigation, these same sources find the ballroom's silent piano-forte lit by a lone candle-flame whose origin cannot be explained...

Hello id like to commission you for a design. what is your rate
Hello there, angeldarlingsugarcake! Many people have been asking me this question, so I’m answering you publicly.
My commission rate depends on what type of item you’d like to commission: $25 for a full body CAS item (whether that’s a full body outfit or if you wanted a top and bottom combo), $20 for either a top or bottom, and $15 for hats or shoes!

16th Century Gown
by Simulated Styles
This dress was a commission for the darling @persimmontrees and is now public!
more info & download below the cut!
This gown started as a request from the lovely @persimmontrees through our Historical Simmer Discord. While I had never done a commission, the request couldn’t have come at a better time, as I was feeling a little stumped on what to create next. This was a great opportunity to study up on an era that I’m not the most knowledgeable of, while simultaneously receiving some much-needed inspiration!
The mesh for this gown is completely original – no frankenmeshing here! Other than the patterns for the Damask and Elizabethan gown (credit: google and @persimmontrees), the textures are completely from scratch – I painted the Brocade pattern by hand.
Like my last upload (18th Century Riding Habit), this gown comes in separate package files for a more organized CAS – I didn’t want anyone frantically clicking around in swatches to find the pattern they like. So each file has it’s own pattern, in multiple combinations of where the pattern lies, and in many different color swatches. And don’t worry, there are many solid swatches among the 3 files if patterns aren’t for you!
There’s also a fun surprise swatch hidden within one of the 3 versions: tag me when you find it!!!
16th CENTURY GOWN
base game compatible
3 separate styles – download 1 merged file or 3 separate files
teen-elder, disabled for random
all LODs, morphs, shadow map, specular, normal map, & custom thumbnails
DOWNLOAD HERE!!
Interested in commissioning something for yourself?? Shoot me a message or ask! I'm always open to creating something new (more info to come on my commissioning process)! Or, if you like my content and would just like to show me your support, I’d appreciate your donation through Ko-Fi!
Interested in recoloring my content?? Send me a message or ask – I'm happy to send you my texture files. My texturing process is anally organized, so I have files with each portion of my meshes already separated into their own layers for easy recoloring.
Special thanks & credits:
@linzlu helped with some weird weighting and slot ray issues
@vintagesimstress helped with the above also!
@simverses offered some great CASTools insight
@javitrulovesims was amazing for just listening to me vent lol

So I’ve never done a commission before, but when approached by the darling @persimmontrees , how could I resist?! It was so much fun making their vision a reality while also getting to learn about an era that I’m not completely familiar with!
I’ll be letting @persimmontrees have some fun with this gown for a little while, but stay tuned for the public release soon.
And in the meantime, let me know if you’re interested in commissioning something - my inbox is open!

historical simself tag
Tumblr media
So I got tagged by the lil’ sugarbean @persimmontrees to participate in this cute little challenge!
Rules: -Create your Simself and dress them in whatever era/decade you want! -Try and make the outfits as accurate as possible! -Tag a few simmers!
It should come as no surprise that my favorite era is Rococo/18th Century. I was trying to think about what I’d be doing if I actually lived during that time-period, and I couldn’t decide between two different options. So I had some fun playing around and staging both of these situations!
The Palace Pastry Chef!
Tumblr media
If you haven’t read my about me page, outside of the Sims I’m a professional wedding cake designer and pastry chef! I’ve always been obsessed with the food culture surrounding all things French court in the 17th and 18th centuries (check out the movie Vatel if you’ve never seen it!). So I’d love to imagine that I’d be doing the same thing I do now, just in the kitchens of Versailles!
orrrrr...
The Flute Concerto!
Tumblr media
I’m also a big fan of the arts! I’ve played the piano since I was 8 years old, I’ve been playing the flute since 6th grade, and I’ve also been dancing since 5 years of age (and all through college). I can only imagine that if I were alive in the 18th century, I’d have the same passions. I’d either love to be part of the corps de ballet performing in the opera houses and palaces of Europe, or I’d be playing my flute in orchestras entertaining the aristocracy at concerts, parties, and balls!
This was a fun challenge and a nice way to play around in CAS and Build/Buy! I’d love to tag: @batsfromwesteros @javitrulovesims @pandorasimbox @royaltysimblr @sentate & @peebsplays
