Age Stage Ideas for The Sims #
The base game should have more than in the past, and if not more life stages then more for each life stage to do, especially in regards to babies and interactions between toddlers and children with each other and their own age bracket. Furthermore if there’s another Generations type expansion pack, allow their to be more life stages! Give players the following extra stages with interactions and animations to make the expansion pack worthwhile: Preeteen (a stage between Child and Teenager), Sub Adult (a stage between Teenager and Young Adult), Middle Age (a stage between Adult and Elder), and perhaps Super Elder (a stage after Elder, but not a guaranteed life stage. There should only be about a 10-25% chance of an Elder entering the life stage of a Super Elder.)
Age Stages
Baby with things to do (0-1) Base Game Dress the baby. Place the baby in a car seat. Place the baby in a carrier, or stroller. Let some babies be born with some hair.
Toddler (2-4) Base Game Allow toddlers to play with each other.
Child (5-9) Base Game Allow children to bottle feed babies and play with toddlers. Allow teenagers and adults to pick up the child.
Preteen (10-12)
Teenager (13-15) Base Game
Older Teenage, or Sub Adult (16-18) Allow Older Teenagers to drop out of school, and/or allow them to go to Trade School instead, or go right into the work field. This life stage and beyond should be able to obtain a G.E.D. if they later regret their choice and/or it is a perquisite for certain careers.
Young Adult (19-24) Base Game
Adult (25-44) Base Game
Middle Age (45-64)
Elder (65-92) Base Game
Super Elder (93-107)
This doesn’t even have to be for The Sims franchise. I and many others would be thrilled to see a new life simulator that incorporates these ideas into their own game.
